Just got back from the show. Not a face in the house without a smile. Overall a really good time, and their live show only further cements the band's name.

Setlist:

Be Calm (Sooo good live.)
Benson Hedges
I Wanna Be The One
All The Pretty Girls (Pretty sure they played this and the last song out of album order but could be wrong.)
The First Single (I love The Format, and prolly more then fun. at this point. But, almost prefer the fun. version of this live.)
At Least I'm Not As Sad
Light A Roman Candle With Me
Walking The Dog
Barlights (They split the crowd up in to three different parts all singing something different during the big choir part of the song. Awesome effect.)
Encore
The Gambler
Take Your Time (Seen Nate Ruess live a lot, and I don't think I've ever seen the guy more happy. As a lyricist, he has always been one of my favorites for not being afraid to put his emotion and his life in his music. He really seemed to step up his game on this performance.)

Other show notes - They recognized tonight's show as the first official fun. headlining show since Jack didn't play the Arizona dates. Jack is hilarious live. He threatened guys at the show to stay away from back-up singer Emily. The fun. vinyl is being repressed and will look the same as peacock one or better as Nate said. Jack also told me after the show that new Steel Train is coming out in Jan 2010, and Trampoline should be on vinyl in the coming months. The band also played an acoustic set earlier that day, and the highlight was sound check were they took requests from the crowd.....this include hearing snippets of Weezer's Come Undone, that awful prison song by System of a Down (this was hilarious hearing Nate, and Jack play). Tis all. Amen. Sorry for the lengthy post.

they put on an incredible show, despite the small venue.

(this set list is most likely not 100%, I'm also pretty sure they played Matches..)

Last night in Rochester was great, was surprised at how packed the venue was. Setlist was similar to what was posted.

I waited too long to buy tickets since I was broke and now it's too late. I'll be missing out tomorrow. :-( If they play Dog Problems, I'll be furious.

"Aim & Ignite" was the #4 best-selling internet album the week of its release.
"Aim & Ignite" basically doubled what the band was expecting to sell so far, and only sold around a thousand less copies than did Dog Problems at its release.
fun. will be headlining a West Coast tour after their dates with Taking Back Sunday. The tour will run from November - December.
fun. will also be heading overseas to Europe, Japan, Australia after that.
In January, fun. will be on a BIG headlining tour. This will go to all major U.S. cities and also be at larger venues.
fun./Steel Train tour? = Confirmed. Summer 2010.

i'll die for "if work permits" sunday in atlanta!

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I felt like fun.'s performance of "If Work Permits" was more intense than when The Format played it... You're in for a treat if they play it.

WOW. All so awesome for them!

Last night was a total blast. If anyone is debating whether to go to one of these shows, absolutely DO IT.

I'd also like to add that Miniature Tigers did a cover of Mamma Mia. Love them dudes!!

atlanta show was incredible!!! all the songs off aim & ignite obviously, with the first single and she doesnt get it thrown in. nate's dad was there running the merch booth! sorry i dont remember the order of the setlist... didnt keep a list handy and i'll never remember it. opened with atleast i'm not as sad as i used to be i know. encore was the gambler (dedicated to his dad of course) and take your time

Just listen to If Work Permits, Dog Problems, and The First Single before your show. Those are the only songs from the Format they've been playing. But I defintely recommend listening to both albums all the way through at some point.

Ugh still so pissed I couldn't make it to this tour, and I can't make it to the January one because I'll be studying abroad.

Nashville show was great. They didn't play Be Calm, which was a pretty big disappointment for me as thats one of my favorites off the album. Still very glad I went though, they put on an incredible show.
