I am going to be really blunt. I am so sick of good bands changing and am no longer going to put up with it. This is really out of character but I don't care anymore. I think this new ataris sucks, after seeing the picture and hearing the new tunes I am at a loss of words. Plain and simple I do not approve of the new ataris at all, and I will no longer give a S*** about this band. I am not going to waste my breath or time anymore on this matter.

musical progression is natural, especially in a band that has been around as long as the ataris, if kris not allowed to grow up? is he not allowed to try and create something different, something that he enjoys? ofcourse he is.
If you don't like the new material then thats a shame, that doesn't mean the band has to do anything except for what they want to.
i'm sick of all these fucking kids acting like they own bands or that the band is somehow connected to them personally.
if you don't like a band's new record, don't buy it, don't listen to it thats all there is to it.

I don't know how long it's been there (and if this was previously announced anywhere), but there's an actual band photo on the Myspace, and a crappy photo of the album cover, saying that it will be out in July.

Kris is almost 30 years old. He's been through two divorces, had one of his best friends commit suicide, and more shit than most people have by the time they reach 30. Do you want him to play broken-hearted pop-punk songs for the rest of his life. This new sound reflects where he is in life and the music he listens to.

i think kris roe can do whatever he wants, because some people will always be there to listen. however, calling this 'the ataris' is quite misleading to fans of the band that fell in love with them because of records like blue skies and end is forever.
