Though I wouldn't agree that every home schooled person I've met lacks personality, I'd say it's much easier for them to have that problem because of their lack of exposure to other people their age.

my ra was homeschooled and it is impossible for him to understand a joke or enter a conversation with us.

Like I said, that's a common occurrence and is understandable, considering they are not around other people their age. The people near here who are home schooled go to a bi-weekly program where they interact with other home schooled kids, so I guess they have more experience than most (in terms of socializing).

The kid just can't interact with other humans. Almost like he has aspergers.

I was home-schooled, and I meet very few home-schooled kids who can hold up a conversation in normal company, but I've never had that problem as I was always friends with kids who were in school.

Ppl care less for animals because they are so beautifuly hidden inside sesame seed buns, plastic or aluminum foil, and fried batter.
There's got to be more to the story than simply being home schooled...

My name is Lee. I independently homeschooled my two boys from elementary through high school graduation. Now I help parents homeschool high school.

i was raised in public/private schools, but now i chose to go to a "homeschool school" where you go to school 3 days every week (i had to drop out of public and move to this school because i was cast in a touring production of Les Miserables).
its mainly for people who play a lot of sports or acting and dont have time for school 5 days a week.
But in regards to those actual homeschoolers that teach themselves and wear long denim skirts, they are freaks. no personality.

that's awesome about your part in Les Mis. which character do you play? I've seen the London, Broadway, and Los Angeles productions. It's definitely my favorite play.
oh, and i don't think there's anything wrong with homeschooling unless it's for religious wackjob reasons. Lots of homeschoolers do outside activities with normal schooled people, i.e., sports and acting, etc. after school.

There is a kid in my fiction writing class who totally breaks the mold. He's outgoing, hilarious, and will probably be an erotica writer one day.
