I got to hear from my friend that over in Iraq today. I was pretty pumped. Anybody else have friends/family members in Iraq?

My uncle is a Major in the Air Force, but he doesn't do much combat at all. He says that he sat on a beach for 6 months and flew the other.

A kid I grew up with went to Iraq in August as a marine. He has been home once, but left again after a day or two.

i've got a friend that's in the navy currently down in florida and a friend that used to be in the marines.

My brother in law is a Marine stationed in Hawaii, and he wants to go to Iraq.

lets see i know two guys in the marines, in iraq, not really friends but good people none the less... One of my best friends is in the army as artillary, not in iraq yet.... One friend in the navy was near iraq, but he was just working on helicopters... And another guy i know was in the navy dont know if he saw any action though....

my old roommate is in Iraq as part of the reserve, he is serving his one year...he says he kills about 3 rabid dogs a day

Well Imma try to bring an old thread to life a bit. I am dating someone who is in boot camp to be a Marine, and I have no idea how the hell this works. IM dealing with not being able to talk to him right now but does anyone know what happens after he is out of bootcamp. He get to come home for 10 days, then off to infultrie trianing, so does anyone know if hes able to call out or recieve calls and after that when the hell we can go visit, etc...
Ive never done long distance especially with a military type.
