I was the world's biggest DBZ fan back in 5th grade. I also got really into Pokemon, but everybody had better cards than me. That is, until I got a holographic Charizard, then I became the envy of my peers.

the amount of money I spent on the pokemon cards when I was a kid, would be enough to pay for my college tuition.

Pokemon was by the far the biggest at my elementary school. i remember we were not allowed to bring cards to school because the older kids were stealing holographic ones during recess.

no, it's just a card game. typically viewed as more "mature."
...and by "mature" I do mean played by older, creepier men.

Pokemon, I had all of the original evolved holographic cards and normal ones...and my school actually set aside time for us to actually play the game and trade cards to draw just for the hell of it. As you can see, I was a pretty cool kid back in the day:-(

I was an avid Pokemon collector, but I never played the game. Had all toys, cards, video games, everything. The only card game I played was Yu-Gi-Oh.

It was the first trading card game ever made. Been around since 1993.

it's viewed as more "mature" because it's a little more complicated than other tcg's (especially Pokemon) and has such a vast amount of cards that it is harder to keep up with.

and it is played by all ages, but mostly 13 and up.

I didn't mean it offensively...I meant stereotypically.
I prefer Magic, personally. although I was more addicted to Yu-Gi-Oh.

From 6th until 11th grade I played Yu-Gi-Oh quite a lot, it was probably a small addiction and I still love it. Great game, I even brought my deck with me to college this year...though I haven't used it. I'm planning on impressing some girls with my amazing Ultra rare cards.

my brother used to collect in the late 90s, so i never bought a card. according to my friend, a new set is coming out this week or something. people still play, but it's probably not as popular? i think it's more well known among people who are a few years older than i am.

Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh. I played with YGO the most, though. I just liked the Pokemon trading card game on my gameboy. Still have that game, too. And I liked playing this demo version of Magic on the computer, that was fun.

i'm a big deal.

I have a whole bunch of Pokemon cards but I have no idea how to play. However I used to be a huge Yu-Gi-Oh fan.

I never knew DBZ had cards, I loved the show though. I used to collect Pokemon cards when I was little but never knew how to play. Me and my friends played loads of YuGiOh though, we spent way, way too much money buying those things. We used to buy whole boxes and get like 2 cards we wanted out of it. I still have a pretty awesome deck somewhere.

I never played the game. I just collected the cards and traded for them. Took advantage of younger kids willing to trade for anything haha
