The Decemberists say, "Go listen to Joanna Newsom. We like her so much we covered her song."

Do it.

other than the joanna newsom song, weren't these on the vinyl pressing of their last album?

Just bought it off of iTunes. I had all the songs, but the quality wasn't great, so it was completely worth buying.

These songs were on the vinyl release, but I wasn't lucky enough to get it. Either way, these songs are just as beautiful as anything Colin and the Decemberists have put out. I highly reccomend it.

upon further listening, i can see why these songs were left off the cd pressing of the lp. they all kind of sound like the same song

Eli The Barrowboy is a great song. Other than that I didn't like the last album so much.
