i failed my high school swim test so i wasnt allowed in the deep end. when the class played water polo, me and the black kids would just splash each other in the shallow end. /swimming

I used to swim daily. Then I tore my rotator cuff on my high school team and used it as an out because I never particularly enjoyed it.

I used to swim in high school. I swam the 100 yd backstroke, usually timing in at 1:08. Also, the 200-yard IM, but I was not good at it. My breaststroke was so bad; it took me out of placing many times.

I've been on a summer swim team since I was about seven, and I'm on my high school swim team. I'm not amazing, but I love it anyway.

I swam competitively for 16 years, including high school and college. I now swim with a Master's program for exercise. Love it!

Yeah, I do too. My doctors said I can't run anymore because I have a bad knee (old injury. so lame) so I switched to swimming. But I suck so bad at it, so it's aggravating.

I swim to stay in shape. Im not very good.
My brother swims and is a 3-time NAIA National Champion , All-American Water Polo player.
I started trying to get a 500 in every day towards the end of summer, 1,000 occasionally. Not too tough, I know, but it's great exercise, and beats the hell out of running.

hahahaha that'd be hilarious

you sound like my roommate. i ask her if she wants to go on a run with me and she looks at me like I asked her if she wants to kill babies. she's the one who got me into swimming.

I actually love the breaststroke, but I'm told not to do it anymore because of a knee injury...I've been swimming for four years now. Basically it just keeps me in shape, as I'm sort of "in the middle of the pack" as swimming goes. I met most of the people at my school through the team, since when I went into high school it was to a different one than all of my friends/acquaintances.
