Ive been playing for more than 6 years, however i have a weird issue with my grip that dont let me bounce my sticks that well i can do double strokes rolls with no problem but i cant triple stroke so it pretty limit my stuff, and my fills are losing a lot of power when i try to do them faster (doing some strokes harder than others), can anyone give me some tips for getting a better grip? i think it has to do with me having large fingers lol..and please dont tell me to start from the beginning cause i cant, ive been playing for a lot of time and can play almost anything, just that my fills are losing strenght

I would try to explain to you, but I think it's a lot easier to see on youtube than try and understand what I write... Here's the best explanation I found on there:

The most important points:

Keep your thumbs in, not up. This way your wrist is able to flex naturally and get the most amount of strength. The power in your stroke comes from your wrist.

Hold the sticks with ONLY your thumb and first finger. Also, make sure to hold the sticks at the best balance point. The bounce in your stroke comes from the fulcrum point between your first finger and thumb.

Your other fingers lightly touch the stick, but do not actually hold it. The control in your grip comes from your middle, ring, and pinky fingers.

Ideally, you are only using your elbows and shoulders to move around the kit, and not for any of the power in your stroke. Obviously if you are playing rock music, you will probably want to be a little more energetic than that, but you should make sure not to rely on your arm strength for drumming.
