At first I absolutely hated brandtson's new sound, but this cd ended up being pretty awesome after I spent some time with it.

They had the actual cd for sale at the New Found Glory show in Ohio. Too bad I spent the last of my dollars at White Castle before hand.

I loved brandtsons send us a signal and discovered them kinda by accident when I went to go see the gym class heroes 2 years ago and they didnt show. Brandtson played a full set instead and I was sooo impressed I baught the album and cherish that small intimat show. Ive heard the 3 new myspace songs of Hello Control and boy are they alot differnt. But I fricken' love em and Im buying it with Thursday on tuesday.

the rocket summer and brandtson all played amazing shows. i just saw them last night in chicago. SA-WEET! daphne loves derby and transition were really good too. but i really have to give it up for the rocket summer...he's an incredible performer.

It sucks because I got so used to the track order when I had the leak of it so I'll start singing the next song before it comes on and it's the wrong one. :(

Great album. I love how they had the balls to do something a little different and they did it better than I ever thought they could.

I felt really bad because I talked to Matt after the show on the 22nd and my friend and I were telling him how much we loved the album and he was like "Well that's good because most people hate it."

As am I...I just got the full retail release 2 days ago, and here is my quick take.
It is not Send Us a Signal Part 2. Get over it. Brandtson took on a new style of music, and did it better on their first try than most groups have many albums in. Some of the tracks are absolute garbage, but most are good, and a few are as amazing as anything the band has ever done.
Some people will never stop bitching about music. If a band doesn't change their sound, they aren't innovating enough. If they do, then people wish they maintained the old sound. I don't get it sometimes.

You speak the truth my friend, although I don't think any of the songs are absolute garbage. My least favorite when I first started listening was Denim Iniquity, but I even love that song now.

I don't know the name of it right now, but I can't listen to that "Fire" song...reminds me too much of that damned Electric six song. :)

Send us a signal is pretty great...i mean there are probably 5 amazing songs on it ...

I absolutely love this cd, but i've never heard "send us a signal", so I can't comment on the change.
i personally don't see why people are so attached to the sound of that record, i'm glad they picked up the pace a bit haha.

I'm tired of reading shitty comments where people are comparing their old stuff to this record.
plus, I don't know what bandwagon they are jumping on, but this record was written before November of last year...
and some of the songs are years old...
Nobody Dances was written in 2004.
I wonder what would happen if Myk went back to his Six Feet Deep roots and turned Brandtson into a hardcore band....
I think people would still be pissed off.
Who wants to write the same style of music year after year though?

How do you know Myk? That is awesome that he read the review. Unfortunately, I do not get to very many shows in Cleveland, since it is a long drive and I have to work early in the mornings, so I didn't catch the show on the 6th :-/

The cd release show was amazing...
I got super drunk...
and me and some of the other girls just had a riot in the front center...
I danced my little heart out...
They played so well too.
