Taking Back Sunday (www.takingbacksunday.com) has told us that we'll be able to find some of the demos and b-sides from Louder Now on iTunes and a UK single. Read below.
"There are two bonus tracks and a few assorted demos that may surface later. One of the bonus tracks called "Brooklyn (If You See Something, Say Something)" will be available on the itunes version of the album and as of now we have plans to release another one of the bonus tracks "Sleep" on a UK single for MakeDamnSure coming out May 22."

I wish they would've just added these songs to the album in the first place since there was only 11 songs

That's a good one... It gave me a chuckle.
Can anyone explain the UK music market to me, and why singles are so big there? I'm fairly ignorant to the full situation, I only know bits and pieces.

they are really meaningless these days. A few years ago the shops would be dominated by singles charts but these days the singles rack is just tucked away in the corner.

if Brooklyn made it to the cd it would probably be one of my favs on there. great great song. it wouldve been an awesome way to finish off the cd.

as for the uk single issue, i always figured labels put rare songs on import cds to make extra cash because there are u.s. fans who are willing to pay the $25 or whatever obscene amount it costs just for 1 song

Yeah, if youre going to release them anyways, why not jsut put them on the normal album. I guess this way they have the chance to make more money. Probably a smart business idea, but it chaffes my behind.

Miami is most people's favorite song from what I've seen and mine also.

It seems like this is just a new marketing thing. You need bonus tracks to release on iTunes, singles, etc. It used to be that if you had them you'd put them on, but now it seems like bands are going into the studio and recording them knowing that they'll never make the record.

the bands management usually, and of course the record label sometimes. but its usually management from what i understand.

i know this probably isnt the place to ask, but speaking of TBS, does anyone have any pics from the 4/25 show at irving plaza?
edit: i forgot to say that miami is one of my least favorite tracks on louder now. i havent heard brooklyn yet, but i'm sure i'd be all for putting on the album

miami is my least favorite on the album.
Brooklyn would have been a nice addition.. i loose interest in the album at Divine Intervention and Miami but it picks back up for me at Error: Operator.. brooklyn would have been nice inbetween the two in my opinion.

According to what Jared Kaufman told me - Adam said, "we'll always have only 11 tracks on our CD because it leaves kids always wanting more ..."

I think a TBS album would drag if it went on past 11 tracks. Then again I did only pay £9

Yeah I thought Divine Intervention and the last track are a little lacking. I don't really like Miami that much either. I haven't heard the entirety of Brooklyn, I'd love to, but I don't even have limewire and I can never get these damn b-sides. That and the FSF Moon is Down B-sides.

I'd disagree with yo,u the album is solid and Brooklyn is also a good choice for a B-side entry

maybe I missed where this is being talked about, if it is, but can anyone else not play the album on their computer? I have a mac with iTunes, and the drive tries to read it, then ejects it...did Warner add that copy-protect shit that doesn't let you put it on your iPod?

My cd worked fine and it uploaded on to my itunes though the title was "Taking Back Sunday-Louder Now" instead of just "Louder Now."
The first time I listened to the album on The Leak I thought the first half was good and the second half was weak but the more I listen to it, the better it got and the rest of the album grew on me. And for some reason "I'll Let You Live" sounds so much better on the actual cd than it did streaming online.
Someone made a YSI for Brooklyn in the "official" TBS thread/news post Tate made a couple of days ago.

So uh...anyone else notice the original posting mentioned "demos" but no mention of demos was made? Demos are sweet too!

But Tell All Your Friends was 10... is this a <= statement?

I cannot, for the life of me, understand why anyone (and it seems like a fair amount of people are agreeing on this) does not like "I'll Let You Live." It might be my favorite track on the cd, besides "Spin." Why are you people not getting into it; I like the slowness but heaviness of it, and I think it's a cool way to close off the record. Also, I can't understand why anyone thinks it was a good idea to put "Divine Intervention" on there. "Brooklyn," although I don't think it is nearly as good as everyone is saying, would have been a PERFECT replacement for that song; it keeps up the energy nicely. Plus, I just think "Divine Intervention" is an awful song. It's just power chords the whole time, they might as well have made it a full band song.
Wow, I didn't intend for that to have been that longgg..

Miami is most people's favorite song from what I've seen and mine also.
personally i think miami is the weakest song on the album... the chorus is just horrendous... and that muting at the beginning, most annoying thing on a cd ever.
brooklyn is better than half the album, whoever cut this track is a moron.

I agree Divine Intervention is the weakest song on the cd, but other than that, I love the cd.

TBS should just keep up with the upbeat songs that we all love, none of this New American Classic and Divine Intervention crap...
Hey now, let's not drag New American classic into this.

brooklyn is a very good song
although i do like miami and divine intervention, i think brooklyn should have replaced one of those songs
and to the people who dont like "I'll Let You Live", it may be your opinion but i think its the best of tbs closer tracks. it sounds like nothing they have ever done before and the slow part really sounds like vheissu to me
