was at the Denver show last night. it was awesome, but there was a problem. They played Composure last and invited everyone onto the stage, and about 1 minute into the song all of the music stopped and the house lights came on. apparently someone threw water on the mixing board and blew it up. so no encore, which i'm sure was planned since their set was pretty short.

i know they played Existence, Composure, 30 & 7s, Barbarian, backburner, meddler, truth of a liar, and a few others. i will be posting some youtube clips so i'll be back

That's lame as hell.

did you by chance get an Acacia set?

Not that I'm complaining, but does anyone else feel that the Acacia Strain would be a more understandable headliner? That's not to say that I don't love August Burns Red, it's just that I feel the Acacia Strain has been around a little longer and has a more extensive audience. Maybe I'm wrong, but whatever. Just curious.

i didn't get the Acacia set, and i had never listened to them before and i wasn't very impressed. they're music lacked creativity in my humble opinion. plus the singer was super vulgar. They had a huge crowd supporting them, that was impressive, as big and active as ABRs.

i got there late so i missed Mychildren Mybride and Impending Doom, but those bands don't really get me excited anyway

I would honestly just expect 5 songs off Continent + Carbomb, Woah! Shut It Down, Sun Poison and Skin Cancer

here's my humble review of the show (don't kill me, i'm no pro!) and 3 full songs i recorded for youtube; Meddlers, White Washed (intro), and then the last song Composure with the kids on stage and the sound board getting destroyed. the 2nd half of that video has Jake explaining what happened.

Seriously? You didnt come in time for Impending Doom and Mychizzle Mybrizzle? This tour is absolutely STACKED, its what got me through this month. Doom, MCMB, Strain and ABR all in one tour, my goodness. Acacia almost shut The Hawthorne down in March, absolute madness.

acacia strain will bring in a lot of kids but they aren't as popular as abr in terms of record sales and stuff. Abr can prob play bigger venues headling across the country more so than the acacia strain.

I don't think they'll play that much of off Continent.

I think the last time I saw them (last october) they played Skynet, Seaward, Dr. Doom, and JFC as Continent songs.
They played 4X4, See You Next Tuesday, Angry Mob Justice, Whoa! Shut It Down, Carbomb and maybe 2 others for older songs.

I really hope I can hit this tour up. The Acacia Strain own live.

Anyone go to the show in Idaho tonight? Portland (sunday) is my show, so i'll have as much info as I can recall.

Going to shows with my favorite bands is nearly impossible since i live half way around the world from the US @_@

wish ABR played more songs from Thrill Seeker sometimes, they're the better songs after all

This sounds about right, except they played Balboa Towers this summer.

Either way, TAS is the best band on this tour by far

That makes me laugh so much that they're using that as their intro.

haha and wow Are you sure MCMB didnt throw in a new song?

MCMB doesn't have a fulltime drummer. They are just using fill in's. I saw them a couple of weeks ago and they had Impending Doom's drummer filling in. They go through drummer's like I change clothes its crazy haha. They said the reason they don't play any new stuff is cause of the drummer situation. it sucks. i enjoy their old songs but it would be so nice to hear something new! and not too mention their original drummer wrote almost all of Unbreakable. I can't wait till that tour comes here! I love Acacia Strain. I like all the bands but its gonna be sweet to see TAS. Especially with a bunch of christian bands!

Holy crap holy crap holy crap. craziest show EVER. Wichita Falls, Tx, sep 26th.
300-400 people crammed into a VFW post with very little A/C, which was not pleasant after having to stand outside in the heat in line for an hour and a half.
Local deathcore band Devouring Plague opened up...rather unoriginal and creepy, not gonna lie. (the bassist weighed a good 350lbs and had long dreads and beard, and lead screamer had a "Drug Free For Satan" shirt on, lol). but i guess good way to start things up overall.

My Children My Bride Came next, and they were freakin sick. Everyone was moving and the circle pits were deadly. we were all literally squeezed together in one huge sweaty mass. the crowdsurfing started on their very first song. my 2nd fav of the night.

after a 20 min water break, Impending Doom let loose, and everything started up again full swing. nothing really out of the ordinary though. good set overall. (oh, well, one guy did pass-out and stop breathing due to an asthma attack, and had to be taken out on a stretcher...not sure how he ended up. and also, i got my face stepped on by a crowdsurfer. )

The Acacia Strain got up next, and started the evening in the following way(i paraphrase): "so i haven't been able to say any curse words over the past three days cuz we've been playing some churches...i can't say f*ck and sh*t or cock or pussy...so, motherf*cking cock sh*t pussy b*tch...h*ll yeah"
lol, was amusing.
their set was good, but again to me sounded really bland. breakdown after breakdown after breakdown. all the same way... but they had a buttload of fans...and the crowdsurfing got insane. one guy got pressed up with his feet and hand against the ceiling like spiderman, grabbed the mic from the lead singer and screamed a verse before then kicking a hole in the ceiling and then getting expelled from the venue.
about midway through the set the lead dude told everyone to hold up their middle fingers and repeat after him as he chanted "f*ck the world" multiple times. lol, again amusing but kinda stupid and vulgar.
also, he basically dissed the other bands regarding their beliefs, which pissed me off and turned me off from the rest of their set.
(and another crowdsurfer also kicked another hole in the roof...i doubt that that Post asks them to come back to play again)

anyways, then ABR got up there and after filling the stage with so much fog as to where we couldnt even see the drummer at all, they brought the house down. it was crazy. never been so sweaty in my entire life. felt sorry for all the little girls in the crowd lol. ended the night epically.

set lists were as aforementioned...and so ends my lengthy review. excuse me now while i go nurse all the bruises i woke up with this morning.
