me + 7 friends from high school are going to new york city till tuesday morning. i'm so excited! anyone from that area? wanna give me any tips?

YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY CHECK OUT SOME CLUBS. SEE IF THERE ARE ANY BANDS PLAYING AND GO CHECK IT OUT. HAVE FUN AND BE SAFE.

Go to chinatown and get some illegal things and such, then go check out some shows, then get a pretzel from a vendor, 2 bucks well spent

i want to visit cbgb while im there, but im only going to be there 3 days!!! thats such a short time! i want to go to shows, but im not sure everyone else would be down. i've been to the FAO Schwartz in nyc before. usually i got to the one in sf, because i live 20 minutes away. but yeah, that store is rockin.


im so stoked to go....i fly in 22 hours.............:D

definately check out cbgb's, they say you have to be 16 to get in, but you shouldn't really have any trouble if you're not. here's some other good clubs: irving plaza, (at 17 Irving Place, on the corner of 15th Street)
and the knitting factory at 74 Leonard Street New York City , NY 10013
(it's some lame emo club, but the subhumans are playing there on the 19th/20th, so you might be able to catch 'em)
and if you're anywhere near brooklyn, la'more's at 1545-63rd Street, Brooklyn NY 11219
is a nice small club but they mainly have metal bands.

you should also check out all the cool stores in the village like: freaks, generation records, and bleaker bob's, there's lots more just look them up or ask around, they shouldn't be hard to find.

there's almost always lots of hippies and skaters playing hackey sack and skating at union square.

and yea... get some pretzels, and carcinogenic hotdogs.

thanks blaarg....i'lll do my best to visit as many of those places. i don't know how much luck i'll have...especially since i'll be with big group of people. thanks again!

i bet that the group will get broken up .. like 4 and 3. That always happens to me. We go our seperate ways. Its more fun though cuz u can do more of what u want.
