It was a band featuring Mike Kinsella (American Football, Owen, Cap'n Jazz), Steve Lamos (American Football) and David and Allen Johnson (Very Secretary). They only recorded three songs ever that were never released on Polyvinyl Records (https://www.polyvinylrecords.com/) a long time ago before eventually breaking up and forming American Football and Very Secretary. Finally, those three songs are being made available for download by iTunes, Napster and other download sites, starting a few days ago. I've had this for awhile but it's about fucking time they released it. I had been waiting for this for years. It's very good. I wish they would release this on 7" like they had originally planned to. I would buy it in a heartbeat.

Yes, that is bad.. and absurd. I'm excited for this, its probably the closest we'll get to new American Football songs.

The current "scene" pales in comparison to all of those bands. I'm so happy to have these tunes, but it is sad that this is really all that's left.
