I was bored what can I say.
The stars look like millions of tiny pinpricks from out here on this bitter cold stoop.
And as I stand here watching the embers from our elegantly held cigarettes slowly burn away, I wonder what it would feel like to prick my skin over and over again.
Granted I'm not one for pain, but if those pinpricks would glitter like those forgotten stars, I'd do it.
Maybe then it would be easier to let someone in, it would be less work.
You would just slowly seep into me through my open pores, and then I would shine so brilliantly bright no one could see me but you.
But like I said I'm not one for self inflicted pain, so the only glow for now that will surround me is that of our toxins.
They're burning out.
It's easier to stay alone than it is to feel loved.
