Hey sorry if this is the wrong thread, but I need to figure something out quick before I head down to House of Blues tonight.

If a band is playing two nights in a city, is it usually better to go the first night or the second?

The reason I ask is NFG has two shows in Orlando, but I just found out tickets are $30 each so I might only be able to choose one.

Any advice?

From my own experience, bands play more "rare" songs the second night.

Usually night one is the standard tour setlist, with the next night containing a few different songs.

However, there's no guarantees, obviously.

I'm thinking about just dropping another show from my list and maybe going to both. It's so hard to pass up both nights, cause if I miss one of my favorites by going to a different night then I'll be pissed.

I went up to chicago to see thrice play 2 nights in a row, and the second night was def better. aca nailed it, the first night was the standard tour set, but the second night they played about 10-12 songs that werent played the first night, including some rarities.

I'd definitely go both nights if I were you.
I'm still pissed I can't go to both nights of the Brand New tour in Orlando.

I went to Fall Out Boy when they played 2 nights in Denver this past April, and on the 2nd night they changed up a couple of songs and played "Tiffany Blews" for the first time on the tour.

I would say 2nd night if you had to chose one.

Wow you people are such dedicated music fans. So from what people said so far, bands tend to "save the best for last"?

Definitely the second night for many reasons, but yeah, bands tend to play better setlists (sometimes with with "rarer" songs) the second night.
