Out of the ones that you listed, I voted for Marek Malik. Considering the circumstances and everything, that goal was the sweetest.

Yeah, the fact that a defenceman who was shooting in the 15th round or something ridiculous like that (I remember one commentator saying something along the lines of "Malik only got the shot because the zamboni driver pulled his groin" or something to that effecct), and pulls off one of the most unexpected moves to beat Kolzig that late in the shootout.... easily the play of the year.
I went with Ovechkin's goal although Malik's goal was nice. Just the fact that a play like that can be practiced during a workout is why I took Ovechkin's goal over Malik's

I voted for Caron's..that save was insane.
Even the goal judge thought it was a goal.

the shootout winner is a close second. But it's ovechkins goal, hands down.
You try sliding on the ice after going full speed and still back hand a puck into a net from that sharp angle. you can't do it.

Ovechkin, that was unbelievable. To be able to sense where the puck is behind you while falling down and able still to shovel it into the net, jesus. There's a reason hes one of the best in the league.

and upon looking at that video of the caron save, i think the puck is over the goal line. the webbing of his glove crosses the entire goal line and the puck is in the webbing. there's a strong argument to be said that the puck was fully across the line.

Fleury just because he's my favorite player.

It was Malik's for a while and I didn't think anything could challenge it, but Ovechkin is ridiculous and that goal was insane.

even though maliks a ranger, i got to vote for him since that goal was amazing.
it would have been so embarassing if he didnt score though, haha.

With the way his glove is built, even if the entire T of the glove went over the line, the whole puck hasn't crossed the line. His trapper has a fairly small pocket.
And I voted for this because as a goalie I find saves more interesting than goals usually (especially out of this group of highlights), and this save was better than Fleury's because a glove save is beautiful. Also, Crosby's reaction was absolutely priceless.

yeah. that's what I got, though Fleury's dive was pretty nasty.
I always take goalie plays over shots though...

I was at that game, the one where Fleury made the save. Everyone thought it was going in, as soon as we saw Jagr cut to the net everyone stood up. Then boom the whistle blows and everyone's just looking around haha

Both the saves are incredible, I played both Goalie and Right wing in hockey so I know how hard it is to do both, its hard to compare them. I had to go with Ovechkin because there's just no way that could happen again, while I think we could see saves like that again and have before.

ovechkin scored a goal on his back. even the defensemen and goalie couldnt believe it. all those other plays you might see again. i doubt you will ever see a goal like ovechkins again.
i deduct a lot of points from maliks goal because shootouts are stupid and should not be determining factors of winning and losing.

Ovechkin's goal was definitely amazing. Granted, it was probably blind luck that the puck went in... he probably flung the puck in the direction of the net hoping to get lucky or just make a pass. Even if he made a pass like that that led to a goal it would have been a play fo the year. But whatever, the punk went in and it was an incredible looking goal. The reason the goalie looked like that was because he had already let up a ton of goals that game to one of the worst teams in the league, so seeing that puck go in must have been a huge metaphorical cock punch for him.
