These dates worked out perfectly for me. I'll be at the Nashville date and then I get home to Houston for Christmas break the day of their show there. So I'll be at both of those.

And you may want to make a note that ABR won't be at the Nashville or Atlanta shows.

My thoughts exactly. Emery hasn't been here since like... how long? I don't even know. Underoath, I suppose has headlined here fairly recently (last fall with Saosin...?), but still. That sucks.

They need to have a 4th band too. Either that or have 3 bands split up and playing on just certain dates like their tour last fall.

EDIT: Wait, if there's no 4th band we get longer set times! I'm dumb.

But, I think I might drive to Clifton Park, only because I love August Burns Red and I didn't get to see Emery when they came to Buffalo in August :/.

Yeah I was bummed too. But I didn't really expect any on a one month tour.
It's probably for the best since Aaron will be on a full 2 month tour with The Almost until right before this starts, so he should probably get a break and the month tour that they're doing is even more than I expected.

To Speak Of Wolves is supposed to play a date or two of the tour this year I think. Last year, our date was supposed to have The Famine, but their van broke down or something so Death In The Park played instead and people booed them which was terrible.

Warped 09:

Breathing In A New Mentality
Writing On The Walls
It's Dangerous Business
Desperate Times Desperate Measures
A Boy Brushed Red
Everyone Looks So
In Regards To Myself

You can almost count on three more DTGL songs (prolly Returning Empty Handed, To Whom It May Concer, and A Moment Suspended In Time), either Young/Aspiring or Receptive from TOCS with those two TOCS above, and then I haven't seen them since LITSOS except on Warped, but I'd imagine Too Bright, Miraculously Unharmed, and a bunch others from LITSOS.

Those would be awesome to hear live. I only heard them play Down, Set, Go once, back in 05 so it's been quite some time.

I am going to hope and pray that Down, Set, Go is one of those songs. Please, dear God please, let them play that song. I might die. Or Some Will Seek Forgiveness. That'd be so amazing.

I'm betting they meant songs off LITSOS they haven't done yet, or new songs. They've stated that they hate the songs off TOCS and they only play A Boy Brushed Red... and Its Dangerous Business live still for the fans

I'd like to see an interview where they say they hate it if you don't mind providing a link. I've never heard that before and I'd like to think I've watched many of their interviews. I can't stand it when bands say they hate their older music. It's what it was, and they should just accept their growth. Sure, that album might've been one of the more generic ones, but it still stood out.

If they are, they'll probably wind up being later on in the tour because the tour they're on ends on the 21st and the 22nd is when this Underoath tour starts. I'm guessing it'll be like Underoath's tour last year where they had one band open for the first third of the tour, then another one the second third, and so on.

I interviewed Grant right before LITSOS came out, and my impression was not that they hate TOCS--rather, the songs are just repetitive and boring to play live. The newer material is much more challenging.

Also, any idea on if there really is a 4th band playing or is it just Underoath/ABR/Emery? I looked at this one website for the venue they're playing at in Tampa said something about W/ SPECIAL GUESTS TBA, but I checked back a few days later and they didn't show that anymore.

Emery:

They came out singing White Christmas haha

Butchers Mouth
Edge of the World

Underoath:
In Regards to Myself

Youre Ever So Inviting
Casting Such A Thin Shadow
Writing On The Walls
Breathing In A New Mentality
Emergency Broadcast
The Only Survivor
We Are The Involuntary
Desperate Times
Too Bright To See
It's Dangerous Business

I know I'm missing a few from Underoath's set. They definitely played two or three more, one of which was a song from TOCS but I can't remember which one. I want to say Young and Aspiring. Anyone else that was at the show want to help me out?

Overall, I was somewhat disappointed. The sound during Emery was horrendous. Josh's mic wasn't even on for the first two songs and and you could barely hear Devin or Toby most of the time. The fact that I tend to hate the majority of the crowds Rocketown brings in doesn't help either.

Underoath was good, but I've definitely seen them do better. I'm hoping it's just them being a little rusty after not playing for 2-3 months. I'll be at the Houston show on 12/16 when I'm home for Christmas break so I'm expecting that to be better.

The nashville show was really good for all 3 bands considering it was their first show back in months. I see that you guys know the set lists for emery and underoath, but does anyone know the first song that to speak of wolves played? Or can someone post their list?

Emery was only disappointing because they had technical difficulties their entire set.

Since I'm bored at the moment, I'm just gonna post a few songs I hope ABR plays:

Off Constellations: Thirty And Seven, Existence, White Washed, and Meddler
Off Messengers: Truth Of A Liar, Back Burner, and Composure

Anything else they'll play will be awesome of course, but those are the one's I'd want to hear the most. If I knew about how many songs they'd play, I'd make a dream setlist instead of just naming songs.

Anyone care to explain why they never play that anymore?

Basically from what I've heard, Underoath doesn't play many songs off of TOCS anymore because they feel that those songs don't represent who they are as a band very well. they felt it was too poppy or something along those lines. I still love the album though.

yeah, i can totally see why they would do that.

actually, that's like a REALLY cool thing to do.

like, i think of Escape The Fate's current set list..and how they play like all of their slower/poppy songs, and you know it's just because they are the things that mainstream people like.

even though i prefer UO's TOCS, i totally like the reason that they don't play it. (but WHY does every song i love have to be on that album lol!)

but then again, UO has released like a lot more albums and they have a lot more to fall back on, then say, Escape The Fate.

So i just got back from the Atlanta show, overall I enjoyed it. To Speak of Wolves were fun to watch, I guess, but all of their songs sounded identical.

Emery only played for 30 minutes tonight... Lame. But they put on a fantastic show. Highly enjoyable. However, their vocals were poorly placed in the mix. The screamer was next to impossible to hear. The Christmas theme was hilarious!

This was my first time seeing Underoath and they impressed me a lot! I only knew a few of the songs they played, but it was still enjoyable.
Oh and there was crazy moshing right before Emery went on. Some drunk kids were pushing everyone around and I ended up on the floor getting trampled on. There is absolutely no point in that when there is no band performing! Stupid people...
And i was waiting outside for a few minutes after the show (bands always hang outside after the show at this venue) but some dick police officer started yelling at us for standing there..? God why do they have to interfere with everything.

Craigs screaming is NOTHING when compared to Spencer. Everyone knows that, I'm sorry your tweener mind was exposed to such shitty music early on and now you think ETF is the be all and end all of post-hardcore, but that fact that you are even trying to say Craig can scream as well as Spencer is a fucking joke. Maybe TOCS era Spencer, but if you've heard any of his work from DTGL or LITSOS, you would know that he is far superior. Besides, Craig screams what seems like 12 lines on the whole This War Is Ours album, ETF went completely soft in order to try and win over more 15 year olds like you who know nothing better.

I guess its a decent set-list... definitely have seen better, but I love UO new songs live. Emery's is decent to, kind of wish Listening to Freddie Mercury was on the list (but I knew it probably wouldn't be)

I saw Emery twice on Thee Summer Bailout Tour. They played Freddie Mercury both times, and I'm almost positive that their set didn't change for pretty much the entire tour.

Underoath kills me now. Only Young and Aspiring and It's Dangerous Business Walking Out Your Front Door from TOCS? Most true fans of the Spencer Underoath are getting the shaft because their best songs are being shunned. Two is just ridiculous.

Spencer didn't really get to show his true vocals/vocal range until DTGL came out. What you hear now IS Spencer. I've been a fan of uO for a very long time, and as much as I enjoy TOCS... IMHO it's the least greatest of all their work with Spencer.

Not early at all. Well, if you mean front row, very early, and youre never leaving that spot, but the front 3 rows at every concert are teenage girls screaming with their cameras and its really annoying. I usually like being 6 rows back in the center, closer to the pit, and for that you can get there at any point, you just have to shove your way through the pit
