it's ok. the first time i heard their name was in Entertainment Weekly and they were compared to The Mars Volta so i thought, oh cool. i was disappointed.


theyre just part of this wave of post-punk garage bands that came after Interpol and The Strokes. not bad sounding though

I never really liked this band but at Big Day Out earlier this year two mates and I waited at a stage for four hours to get front row center for the Mars Volta (coincedence to the thread).

In doing this we ended up being front row center for Wolfmother.

They actually did quite a decent set, well they're nothing new they had a pretty cool energy and I came off being suprised at how good they were. Also got their set list haha, ebay maybe.

i liked "Woman" but it sounds like a lotta this other stuff thats been coming out lately/i keep hearing. i like them but i'm not crazy about them

I think the bassist and the drummer left the band, so now it's just the guitarist/vocalist. Kinda like what happened to Hopesfall, where everyone left but the singer.

They they have the whole record almost written and they are announcing the new members within weeks. And they are playing a "comeback" show on March 22. All that happened was that their awkward drummer and bassist / organist quit because they thought Andrew got too big of an ego. (Can you blame him?).

Righteous. I'm excited. Even though they really are just a classic rock revival band they still jam hard. Can't wait.
