In two days I'll be sitting down with Pete Wentz (http://www.absolutepunk.net/falloutboy) for the second part of our ABSOLUTExclusive interview. Now is probably your last chance to submit questions; post anything you want to know in response to his answers or you feel wasn't touched upon in part one in the replies.

Are they currently planning to play any new songs on the UK tour before they go into the studio?
Coming a hardcore band to a punk rock band must be a big change, does he ever wish he still made "heavy" music like Arma Angelus?
How much does he actually do for Friends or Enemies?

What does everyone eat while on the road? Is it hard to stay healthy while touring constantly?

I can't remember if I asked this: Do FOB have any plans to play any intimate shows in the UK like they have been doing in the US? Especially since they cancelled 2 small London shows last year in favour of the VMAs...

Hey Pete, my name's Erik and I've met you on a few occasions... I caught you coming off your bus backstage at Warped in Dallas TX, and I crowd surfed, we made eye contact, and you let me scream into the mic with you (before I was rough housed by security) during "Saturday" in Oklahoma... I just wanted to know if you remember (and which means more to you) people like me, who talk to you about your music, lyrics, and life rather than those who just tell you how hot you are and how sexy and cute you are and what not...
(big props to Jared if you ask this too homie... i REALLY hope you will, cause I've been trying to submit this question for more than a month on their website, but that shit never works)

Do your parents understand the amount of fame you have?
Were there times they told you were making a mistake by choosing music as a career?
In your opinion, is it better to have a better bass or a better amp when it comes to live sound quality?

to ask questions on the fob website, you have to take out all apostrophes and commas...apparently they are anti-punctuation

Is it kind of disheartening that most fans on the Black Clouds and Underdogs tour aren't capeable of singing along to any songs besides 'Sugar' and 'Dance, Dance'?
Also, does he think its right that the people that were giving away wristbands to get to the floor were only giving them to teenage girls with their boobs hanging out as opposed to the fans that were there for the music?

question:
there is much more to constantly touring, writing, performing and meeting people than people think. as much as it is a passion of yours, it can be very exhausting and taxing on your entire frame of mind and can hinder relationships.
how do you keep your perspective; your personality and your overall passion for music alive?
more importantly, how do you stay grounded in such a shifting and selfish industry?

no, fans like you dont mean more, because crowd surfing is stupid. sorry man.
ask pete:
do you realize that if you shut up between songs, you could probably fit 7 more songs into your setlist?
im speaking based off headlining tours with bayside, afs and the other with academy is, midtown, gch. both great tours, with both fob sets being ruined by him running his mouth. this was even before they were "famous."

In regards to this question and response:
Q: Is there any decisions you four have made as a band that you all have later regretted?
A: Yes. I guess ill just go into detail on one. We signed a deal originally because we just wanted to get music out. We feel like we were completely taken advantage of. I cant go into too much more detail legally, but it makes me want to make sure new bands out there that we are friends with don’t end up in shitty deals just because they want to get their music out there.
Is this response saying that "just wanting to get music out" is the wrong reason to sign a deal? If so, what does Pete Wentz feel are the right reasons to sign a deal?

I asked this in the last thread but I'm really interested to know the answer so just incase you missed it...
Please ask pete why they still keep Charlie on as their security? Does he not realise that hiring someone who treats their fans like total shit is just as bad as doing it himself/themselves? And I won't accept a "we need someone to control the crowds of screaming girls" answer because charlie was a dick even when there were very few people hanging around late after the shows in the UK.
Personally, I wouldnt have hung around late if it wasnt for getting high with the mighty gym class heroes but the way he treated the kids that just wanted a photo and an autograph and a quick chat was disgraceful. How can you continue to let him get away with this shit?
Also, if Charlie is there, tell the cunt to lay of the steroids and get a real fucking job.

I have no idea what you're addressing. What'd he do / say? IM me if you want.
Q: You said in the last interview that you have been advising bands about the "dangers" of jumping right in with a major label. Do you think that signing with Island Records was a mistake and if so is there another major label that you think could handle Fall Out Boy better.
also
Q: It seems like the band's popularity has lead to some people gaining a negative image of you so do you think being on MTV has hurt you more then it's helped you?

Ask him if he realizes that he's a huge fucking douche bag.
I second this. Also, maybe ask him about his own taste in music, because he's either:
Listening to terrible bands and ripping them off
or
Listening to decent bands and not understanding anything they're saying

If "a little less 16 candles. . ." has the weakest lyrics, why put it on the record instead of other songs that didn't make it (hand of god, music of the misery, etc.)?
how does he respond to people that say FOB's a bad live band?
how does he feel about older fans resenting him for having to see FOB in an arena for $35+?
What bands does he think are more about their image than the music? How does he defend having From First To Last on tour, when they seem to be one of those "image bands"?

Kind of of topic but I believe they already have. I am pretty sure Punchline opened for Fall Out Boy on there last small club tour here in Des Moines. But I could be wrong cause it was like 3 years ago.

How does he feel about the live journal communitites like viawentztop and peengate which are pretty much there to mock him and talk about his penis. Are they hurtful or funny? And is he a lurker of any of these places? If I were a tenth as famous as him and had my own community made for making fun of me I'd look and see what people were saying.

Ask him to explain his DNA ( Diamonds Never Age) crew tattoo and does it still hold any meaning now that he's gone and apperently broke edge.
Also, ask him does he ever feel he will do any side metalcore projects in the vein of his old band Arma Angelus in the future

1)were you getting off youself while taking THE PICTURES?
-cause it looked like something i would do, if i was alone on a tuesday night.
2)were you talking to yourself while you were taking them?
-like " hey Pete, your so hawt"
and most of all
3)THE PICTURES?
Pete has always been a supporter of his local music scene. Ask him what he thinks of some of the newer bands coming out of Chicago now....(Inept, Russian Circles, The Alpha Couple). Ask him who some of the bands that most people outside of Chicago might not know about that he thinks are deserving of attention and what his plans are for any new signings to decaydance.

Zummy, love the signature ... I read it.
Q: since he says he loves certain bands and is friends with certain bands, does the band have any pull as to what bands they bring on tour with them or what shows they play. Many times it's the label and/or management who dictates it.

1) What is your band's goal when writing music and/or a record? Do you guys try to write timeless music or is Fall Out Boy just trying to make trendy records?
2) How often do you lurk on sites like AP.net, myspace.com, etc? Or what sites do you usually creep around to see what kinds of negative things people say about your band?
3) What is your reaction to the millions of fans that you have (arguable the majority of your fanbase) that fit the stereotype of the girl that you talked shit on all throughout Take This to Your Grave? Does it bother you that all these fans clearly don't understand the message you were sending out?
4) How many chicks have you ruthlessly boned in your tour bus? Have you ever caught an STD?
And yes, I will be slightly dissappointed if you don't have the balls to ask him these kinds of questions.

4) How many chicks have you ruthlessly boned in your tour bus? Have you ever caught an STD?
I think you should ask that just for the sake of the laugh. "Ruthlessly boned" sounds so harsh.
To me it's seems as though the guys in FOB are perfectionists so I was wondering if they would ever purposely release demos, live recordings, B-sides, etc. that they thought weren't good enough to be on the albums to the public (in the manner that Head Automatica and the New Amsterdams have done/are doing).

i've asked enough stupid questions that probably arent even going to make it to the interview, but...
is fob ever gonna take punchline out on the road again?
that would be heavenly.
and actually, i can't help it. heres a Q-
will you want to hurt another AP.net reviewer if he calls your next album (double disc?) a perfect 'summer' album? or spring/winter/fall, cause i'm sure those exist too.
i know you had a problem with it last May, because the songs and the words mean more to you than that.
Q: You said in the last interview that you have been advising bands about the "dangers" of jumping right in with a major label. Do you think that signing with Island Records was a mistake and if so is there another major label that you think could handle Fall Out Boy better.
well they didn't just jump right in, they'd existed for at least 2 years and were probably a bit more savvy than younger bands just starting out.
ask pete what he thinks about all the stories of bands getting screwed over by Victory, even having heard the bad press pre-signing.
Q: since he says he loves certain bands and is friends with certain bands, does the band have any pull as to what bands they bring on tour with them or what shows they play. Many times it's the label and/or management who dictates it.
