I have a question, what's different between the regular version of the new CD and the digipak? Is it just the packaging cause I'll take the jewel case for $4 cheaper no contest.

Some secret that was. Must have lasted all of 2 seconds not on this website. Now you won't be able to get within a mile of that place.

eh, not really true
i went to a free thursday show that was highly publiscized in austin during SXSW
the supporting bands were halifax, hellogoodbye, jacks mannequin, and matchbook romance
yould think the place would be rediculously packed, it being a free show with all those bands

...there were like, 100-200 people there, 200 max. barely any of the club was filled

I was thinking maybe it would be like Vheissu and came with the book that explained all the songs and whatnot, but yeah I guess I'm just going to grab the $10 one

did you miss the SXSW part in this post? the little thing in the music capitol of the world, where its the largest gathering of musicians and fans alike?
seems like you did

either way, i was just giving my own personal expierence with a free thursday show, saying it wont necessarily be impossible to get in, as long as you get there early.

anyway, just giving personal expierence, not arguing

Hell this show could be 20 bucks in New Jersey. It will still pack house. Paulson is all sorts of nasty.

yeah i was wondering that myself

i picked em both up, and to me it didnt seem like there was any difference except the packaging
and the 9.99 one came with the video...but its not like i will ever watch that more than maybe once anyway

i would go with the 9.99 one, just get the tunes man....thats the important part

I have three exams Thursday that begin at 8:45AM.

That being said, I'm still going for night two of two. Thursday killed it last night.

I wonder if we'll ever hear stuff like Steps Ascend or Asleep In The Chapel live again, though.

see, i guess the way i would see it is that since SXSW is a huge music festival, there would have been so much else going on at the same time as that free show that no one would even bother to go and check out. it was the music capitol, with tons and tons of shows, and a wide range of eclectic bands all scheduled to play. people planned their days by the schedule and stuck to it.

this is new jersey, with not much else big planned for tonight (save for maybe some shitty local shows somewhere). NJ is also the home state of Thursday.

A lot of my friends are driving the 3-4 hours home from college to go. I hope they get in. I have a fucking 9 page paper due tomorrow so no 3 hour drive home for me.

How many people you think Stone Pony hold? Couple hundred? I'm still pissed I missed Saosin at Bamboozle last year.

I think I heard someone say 600 but I really can't imagine it being over 500.

Exactly. It's going to be pretty packed tonight, so I am even hoping I get in. It would suck to make the drive down to Asbury and not be able to get in.

750. It's slightly smaller than the show I was at last night (Irving Plaza) which held 1100.

The Stone Pony holds 750, but only about 300-400 people will get a real view. The pits at the Stone Pony are ridiculous.

Paulson definitely deserves to be much bigger than they are right now.
