So I'm pretty sure that I know what the answer will be, but which album are you picking between Daisy and The Resistance?

Daisy.
I had higher expectations for Muse but was let down, and chose Daisy despite only being a fan of about half the tracks now.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, but I've heard a lot of how The Resistance is something you have to listen to a lot. So I guess that's why I'm going to leave the poll open so long, just to see if anything changes.

Daisy for sure.

I strongly don't like the new Muse...and I can't see myself really hating Daisy (haven't listened), so I guess that wins?

no. i will compare. musical arrangement, vocal style, and the atmosphere muse tries to create is all very similar to bends/ ok computer era radiohead. radiohead-muse/ radiohead-coldplay= two of the biggest comparisons in music. so i will compare.

each band has their own style. no one is trying to be like the other. its amateur to compare these bands

bellamy uses falsetto more than just about anyone in music OTHER THAN thom yorke. and the use of arpeggios in the guitar, a trademark of muse, is another thing radiohead has done a whole lot. do you think it is at all a stretch for a muse fan to be a radohead fan? no. they are about as similar as bands of their status get. now, saying muse is a direct rip-off is more drastic than i want to be. but to say they sound nothing alike is being both ignorant and hard headed.

im not saying they dont sound alike, but muse is not trying to sound like radiohead. they each have their own elements in their music.

but if they do sound that much alike, and radiohead being the high profile band they are, it is not possible for a band sound how they do unconscious of that fact.

They've gone a different route with their music since, but Absolution is very Radiohead. And Bellamy very obviously emulates Yorke.

I cant stand Muse, I mean I give them credit for being a kick ass live band, and I know they are good musicians, but his voice grinds on me, really irritating. And Jesse just shows so much emotion and I personally find him a better lyricist.
