According to Boys Night Out's (http://www.boysnightout.com) Myspace (http://www.myspace.com/boysnightout) page, Kara is no longer with the band.

If this is true, that's pretty fuckin lame, to be honest, my opinion at least.

I never thought she really fit in with the rest of the group to be honest.

i really liked the dimension she added to their sound, after I saw them live I felt like her voice belonged on the cd. Oh well.

shit, she was a great part to the band, really set them apart from other bands like them.
i thought it was just for the tours where they werent going to play songs off trainwreck

It has to be hard for a girl to tour with all guys.

That sucks, after seeing her sing on the Sideshow tour, she really started to fit in with the band. I'm a little upset, but, she didn't have much of a big part (aside from Relapsing). I think she added a great dimension to the band, as everyone's said, she'll be missed.
However, I don't see anything about her leaving, unless she was listed in the band member section.

i wont miss her adding that annoying keyboard line that she added when they played "i got punched in the face" last time i saw them live

What is it with this band keeping members. They have THE worst luck with people staying in this band.

She was pretty great on record, but on stage she was kind of off. Oh well, I wish her best luck in whatever she pursues.

I've met Conner on several occasions and he was nothing but nice... very talkative and very friendly... and I agree that she didn't quite fit in... as amazing of a concept that Trainwreck was (I think it takes an amazing talent to tell a story across an entire album)... I loved the older CDs better... the lyrics were much more in depth and clever... and thats what I loved about Boys Night Out... I wish them the best in whatever comes next... but I hope and pray its more of the old

Wow, so to those of you who said you perfer the old stuff to the new stuff, have you actually EVER listened to Trainwreck? I don't see how anyone CAN'T perfer that over Broken Bones or Make Yourself Sick. And Kara isn't the reason they made trainwreck, so it's not going to change all that much.

does this signal the end of the "girls in bands" fad?
didn't BNO drop the screamo when that fad ended also?

Its called evolving even if it risks losing a big chunk of your fan base. I envy BNO for taking a risk and trying something different and not just putting out a "safe" album that sounded like everything else. Kara cant tour because she's getting married.
i was worried how BNO will sound on trainwreck with a girl, but she did quite good, we'll see, but i don't think that even without her they'll be back to old sound

Why does getting married prevent her from touring? Many musicians are married and tour a lot these days.

she was great on trainwreck. she was pretty good the first time i saw her w/the band on the nintendo fusion tour but on this past tour with armor for sleep she looked bored on stage and didn't sound very good.

She brought a cool dynamic to the CD, but they needed to use her more, I think.

Nobody said it was preventing her. Maybe it was just her own decision to stay home & not tour with the band anymore.

Relapsing is one of my favorite songs off Trainwreck, and I personally love what she brings to their live show.
I saw them at Bamboozle and then at Warped, so I guess I got to see the 'best' comparison between the band with her and without her.
Each was different, and I will still enjoy them live, so I'll deal.
My friend effing loved Kara, so she won't enjoy this news.

all i like is relapsing by her.. im glad shes gone in a way.. BOYS night out.. not boys and a girl night out... i liked them better without her but i wont say that trainwreck was bad with her cause its far from that..

when i met these dudes last year i thought they were awesome and so down to earth
I can kinda understand where this came from. She's getting married, doesn't want to be on the road the whole year, it all makes sense. She will be missed though.

Honestly, the worst live show I've ever seen.
I can't figure out why everyone doesn't 100% agree with this. The sound is off, the vocals are off, they have no stage presence whatsoever.. I liked Trainwreck when it came out, but after seeing them live a few times, i can barely listen to them.

Have you seen every one of thier shows. Bands are off sometimes give them a break. When I saw them they really good. I was especially impressed with the guitarist. He did an awesome job of looping all of the guitar parts and making the songs sound as good as they could compared to the album. Their stage presence was awesome that night too. So stop putting out bullshit remarks like that.

Kara had nothing to do with how Trainwreck came out. They wrote those pieces for her, she came in and did them, and then after the album was finished they added her as a real member. She had little to no creative imput. So you could probably expect the next BNO album to be just as bad/good depending on how you liked Trainwreck.
I really like Trainwreck, in a weird, artsy way. It's a fun concept, the songs are technical, and the lyrics are certainly solid.
There's something to be said, though, for it's lack of energy. The songs are all too wrapped up in their layers that the live projection of them isn't what it should be.
No offense to Kara, because she didn't hold the band at gunpoint to add her, but Boys Night Out just isn't BNO with her. The live show suffers with the inclusion of some of the new songs (though some of them, like Medicating, are really great).
When I head to School Of Rock (NJ's newest small-venue), I'll be giving BNO one last chance to wow me. Make Yourself Sick is a fist-pumping, angry ride with unbelievable hooks and a rush of melodic energy like no other. If they decide to play half that CD, and some older songs, and some newer ones, I'll be content.
Not playing I Got Punched last time I saw them was a huge "negative" in my book.

hahaha.....true.
i don't think it will make any difference that she left the band, she only sang on a few songs and they can do without the keyboard. trainwreck was a good album and showed off their talent, but i hope the next record sounds more like MYS and BBABK.

i understand that. i just couldn't see her being a permanent member. if she stayed in the band for the next album, she would've had way more to do and the part she played on trainwreck got old pretty fast. drop the keyboards is pretty much what i'm saying. i like trainwreck, a lot in fact, just not as much as the others.

I think Trainwreck is a great album. I also enjoyed their previous albums. I saw them on the Sideshow tour, and I thought the live performance was absolutely terrible. I'm pretty sure I just restated what most people in this thread have already said.
