View Full Version : I got kicked out of of Aeropostale.

Dymytry Vance

I was getting uncomfortable because one of the people in Aero was asking me all of these superficial questions:
"Do you like that Twilight crap?"
"No."
"Why do you wear black?"
"Why do you wear pink and yellow?"
"Do you cut yourself?"
"Excuise me?"

I told her that the glamorization of cutting is a depressing social stigma, and the manager heard me. Instead of the whole "customer's always right" crap, he said I was making their employees feel uncomfortable and unsafe. He kicked me out.

Umm??? Am I the only one extremely shocked a store staff would treat you like that? I was going to buy shirts too, but they told me to put my soon to be 40 dollar purchase back and gtfo.]

EDIT: realize that Aeropostale and some local store share 1 space without a divider, so as I shopped in one, I did so in the other. I used Aero as the title because more people know Aeropostale than the other.

Same here, but most of them were just patterning shit. Aeropostale and the other store are connected, but it was Aero that I got kicked out of, so henceforth, I got kicked out of the other one. Usually I shop at HT, zumiez, and merchdirect.

Me and my two friends got kicked out of a shoe store one time, we were sitting on the bench that people were using to try on shoes.
The employee came over to us and told us to get out cause we obviously weren't going to buy anything.

Yeah. The librarians at my library are all in my grade, and they flip shit when I check out Oscar Wilde, Vonnegut, and or Atwater-Rhodes (the latter a guilty pleasure of mine.) They're convinced that I'm an old soul trapped ina young man's body, and when I read War And Peace, they just stared at me like I was a subject in an experiment.

I've been kicked out of a lot of places, mainly as a kid (even a daycare once), but I think the one that got to me the most was a year and a half ago.

I was visiting one of my closest friends in Greece, we decided to go to town and shop around with two of her friends. We walked into one place that had make up and all kinds of shit, and kind of separate (me and my friend went to one side, the other two girls went to the other side of the store) to look around. My friend started noticing one of the sales girls following us and the others watching us like hawks. I asked the chick if there was something wrong, she turned to my friend and told us to leave, because we were too big of a group inside the store (just the two of us, not the other two girls). I pointed out the other groups of people in the store, and she said that I was a risk to their inventory and that I needed to leave. My friend started yelling at her, telling her that we had plenty of money and that we were actually going to buy something.

My friend and the chick went back and forth for a while and eventually the lady said that she knew I was going to steal something because I was "african". I got so angry that I started to shake, so I told her (in a calm quiet voice) that my dad was a second generation italian american, and that she was probably more african than I was. Then I told her that I would have paid for the things I wanted, and that she was a dumb cunt who was so ugly that she couldnt pay to lick my clit. I may or may not have cried a little bit once we left.

I would say Urban would be on a lower level than Hollister and it's look-a-likes, because urban has a lot of different brands in it's stores unlike Hollister's 1 brand. Urban Outfitters itself isn't a brand name.

That being said the only thing I generally buy from Urban Outfitters is shorts and work-type pants.

Aeropostale's employee handbook states: "Because parents make the final decision, they want to feel valued, and they want to feel good about what they purchase." Retailers have traditionally catered directly to their teen customers. But some are now going out of their way to be mom-friendly, and the matriarchs are noticing:
"We're cognizant of the mom and the impact that that mom has," says Tom Johnson, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Aeropostale ... Mr. Johnson says meeting her needs "is critical to our success." ... Ana Greenfield, a mother of two teens from Paramus, N.J. finds the store "less snooty, less provocative" than other teen retailers.

I once got kick out of my local mall because I threw a penny at a guy's head. He was on the lower level, I was on the second level, and there was a penny conspicuously left on the edge, so I gently nudged it off with my foot. Didn't expect to hit the guy... who was a father... and had his daughter with him. Hit him right in the head. "Daddy, look, a penny!" the little girl said. I didn't think that was bad enough, so I continued my streak of negligence by flinging a bunch of fliers over the banister a hundred yards away. Then, I got caught. I brought on the water works, and bam, I was free. Still got me and my friend ousted, though.

Two or three years later I got me and my girlfriend kicked out of another mall. Instead of using the steps of the escalator, I climbed the metal bit on the edge -- all the way up. Mall cop noticed, got pissed, snarkily asked me a bunch of questions. "Excuse me! How did you get here?" = "Uh, I drove?" = "Well, now you can drive yourself home!" Such a Paul Blart before Paul Blart even existed. But he did become a running joke between the girl and me. That was fun while it lasted.

I can't tell if you are for or against it. Do you dislike the stigma it has? Or you are disappointed it has become so well known?

i lol'ed at the aeropostale part. i mean, it's not my cup of tea but do what you like haha.

anyway, that's a really horrible employee, first of all what employee asks you about how you dress? and if you cut yourself...unless of course they don't want to make sales.

ehh, but still, i've walked into hollisters/american eagles/aeropostales/abercrombies to check it out and been stared down by shoppers and employees.

the rich kids don't like me :x

yep, it's called having a conversation.

and you work at The Buckle, so, shut up.

it's not called having a conversation, it's called being a moron. Or maybe having too much time on your hands. One or the other. Relax, eat some fruit

No, I actually usually wear black red and white, however I've been looking for some different types of clothing, I like a lot of their jeans, just not the belts and shirts and what not.
