hey im going to bamboozle this wknd and i was hoping one of you could recommend a good digital camera that i could get for less than $500 that has decent sound quality for recording live music. i am going both days and hope to get one or two memory cards to get a decent amount of live songs so if any of you could help me out, i would return the favor by sharing whatever i take. i heard sony cybershot was alright but i have no idea which model. any ideas?

you should be able to get a cybershot p200 for around $200 on clearance somewhere and thats 7 megapixels and it has amazing video quality and sound to boot. I had the 5mp version of this one and it was stellar to say the least for videos.

i record a lot of live vids with my camera (cannon powershot) just make sure you muffle the mic a bit, i use my finger usually, but a band aid works like a champ
