This absolutely owned. One of my favorite action movies of all time, significantly better than the first two (and I am a huge fan of the first) melding the best aspects of both films with just exceptional performances, music, cinematography, everything. JJ Abrams reignited this franchise in a great, great way, and it was two of the most exciting hours I spent in a theater in years. Seriously, even if you don't like Tom Cruise, watch this. If you like action movies that deliver everything you could possibly ask for, which I hope you do, watch this. This is the new prototype for summer movies, and Abrams and Cruise set the bar so high for this summer that I do not know if anyone can possibly match it. I wonder how many people are just going to outright disagree with me? Should be interesting!

If it is, May will be one of the best months for movies ever, with the expectation that X3 will be fantastic as well.

yes...I was skeptical of MI3, being that I was a huge fan of MI but hated MI2. What happens in a person's personal life, no matter how ridiculous it is....its exactly that, their personal lives. Tom Cruise as an actor never lets down, even if he is a few marbles short in real life. PSH delivers an outstanding villain, even though he didn't have the kind of screen time I would have liked. The action sequences were extremely well done, with great effects to make them as realistic as possible. Seriously, regardless of how much you hate Tom Cruise....go see this movie and you won't be let down.

this movie was just ridiculously incredible. the bridge sequence was mindblowing. everyobody was so good, and it made completely forget about M:I2. i love how they kept it open for sequels. im officially J.J. Abrams bitch. only two very very minor tiffs with it
1. the whole bad guy revelation with billy crudup was too abrupt
2. he didn't take nearly enough time to kick PSH's ass in the end. in fact i wish the finale could have been a little longer. it all seemed just a little abrupt

This is good, I was hoping it would make up for MI:2 sucking so bad.

Leaning Tower of Cheeeezaaaa. Just watched that the other day. I swear, watching this movie was like cycling through my new favorite action scenes over and over. That bridge scene and then the part with Crudup and Cruise and the lip reading. Holy shit that owned. At that point I was like this movie is fantastic, enter lip reading, and for some reason that took it to another level.

i'll be seeing it. i hope it is good. i just picked up 1 and 2 yesterday (2 only because it came bundled with 1 for $5 extra) because i had had a strong desire to watch 1 again for a while now. what a great movie.

after reading this and seeing the second trailer for mi3, i just might go see it. the first trailer i saw left me kind of skeptical about it.

I've never seen 1 or 2 and I missed 45 minutes of 3, but man 3 kicked so much ass.

i watched it over the weekend and thought it was just ok. id probably give it a 6 out of 10. there was a little too much action in it (if that is possible). plus a lot of it was hard to believe. i did however enjoy the vatican city scene.

The order is 1, 3, 2. I was very pleased with 3. I do think Tom Cruise has been solid in his last 5 flicks or so. He was the man in Collateral.
