According to the Orlando Sentinel, the Magic expect Grant Hill to retire, rather than undergo another surgery.

Sad panda, one of the best players from the 90's. It's too bad he's still not playing at his former high level because of injuries, because he could hang with anyone right now. He was the prototypical small forward, and a great guy to boot. He'll be missed in the NBA.

I feel bad for the guy. He should've had an amazing career. Oh well. He's still a great player and great guy.

That's good that he decided to retire. That's the right choice.

i dont think its the last we've seen of him in the nba. i could defintley see him being an assistant coach for awhile and eventually taking over a team.

I wouldn't be suprised to see him in studio if he doesn't end up on a bench. Well spoken guy, really classy, no one dislikes him.

I agree. I think he'd do a fine job at that. I hope for the best for him.

Such a great player in the mid to late 90's, and he seemed like such a great guy. It's too bad he was never able to fully recover from all those injuries.

The difference is KGJ is still a HOF'er, while Hill's injuries will prevent him from making it.

i hate grant hill.

i'm just playin. always liked the guy. sucks to see him go. he was one player that i didn't care how many comebacks he attempted, i just wanted to see him succeed.

be awesome if he does end up a coach and becomes hof caliber at that with no injury bug holding him back.

he should get prosthetic legs and feet, that way he'll just need a lube job whenever he's done playing.

haha, that jalen rose thing is good shit.

Sad to see him go, but glad to see him go. I hated seeing him always in suits on the bench. He was well on his way to being the best duke player in the NBA. now that probably will be elton brand, if it isn't already.

This is a shame, but if he needed another surgery to get back out on the court, then it's a good move to retire. Never really had a good shot at staying healthy, so why risk it again.
