Favorite (16-bit) Sonic

so, a few days ago i stolling through a local department store, when i spot an absolute gem in the bargain bin... a Sonic the Hedgehog collection for the ps2! i was so excited and immediately picked it up (naturally.)

all of the games are SO much fun! they bring back so many memories.. i'm having a blast playing them. so what's your favorite Sonic game from the days of the 16-bit Genesis? wait for poll.

EDIT: it's really a coin toss for me between 2, 3, and S&K... they're all so good, but i went with 2 simply due to nostalgia- it was the first game i got with my genesis (which was the first system i ever owned)

3-D is the best. Spinball was fun to play until you lost like 3 times then you got mad and threw the paddle on the floor at which point it broke, creating a chain reaciton that ended you in jail with a big guy named bubba tattoing his name on you rear.

I had all those games and still have their ROMS. I loved all of them, however Sonic and Knuckles had a lot of story and shit happening. It was like a Sonic movie.

I remember the quickest time I got Super Sonic on Sonic 2 was Mystic Cave. I know you can do it before Chemical Plant, but I couldn't be arsed.

i still have my mega-drive set up haha, not one of them shitty second generation ones either. i dont like the way sonic looks now, although i play sonic adventure 2 at my mates and it is the shit. the next gen sonic game looks fucking wicked aswell.

im torn between sonic2 and sonic and knuckles with sonic 3 locked on. ill go for sonic 2 though.

haha! holy shit! that's the EXACT part i'm stuck on. and as soon as i saw the word "carnival" i knew exactly what you were gonna say. fucking ridiculously hard...
