Running With Scissors.

I loved that book so much. Augusten Burroughs is an amazing writer.

The Last Kiss could be cool. Zach Braff in a Paul Haggis movie sounds good to me

The Last Kiss or Running with Scissors. Last Kiss has Braff so that's a win, Running with Scissors is Ryan Murphy's first film, Nip/Tuck owns face. Anyways, typically the best indies are the least anticipated.

very excited to see zach braff's garden state follow-up (although i'm no fan of paul haggis) and steve carrell can do no wrong in my eyes, but "this film not yet rated" is pretty much my wet dream of a documentary. i'm really hoping it'll spark real changes in the entertainment industry (yeah, fat chance), but at the very least i'm just excited to have all my worst thoughts about the mpaa confirmed by this movie.

Probably scene kids who are just misunderstood who are bleeding the pain away.

/sigh.

Actually it sounds pretty interesting, was a hit at Sundance:

"A film set in a strange afterlife way station that has been reserved for people who have committed suicide."

Is Hard Candy "indie"? I know it was at Sundance, so I assume so. If so, definitely that.

The Last Kiss looks very promising for me because of it's cast, but I'll check into the other films. Thanks for the heads up on indie flicks, I'm not much of a movie fan.

Actually, the movie is nothing like that at all. It's a dark comedy. It's really enjoyable, and the title may turn people off from the movie which is sad.

I'm looking forward to Running With Scissors. I'm only hoping that the way it was translated on screen matches how I envisioned the things happening in the book. Burroughs' writing was a lot of what made me love the book so I hope that doesn't get lost in the movie.
