yes, but it comes across like you're saying that kobe shouldn't be the mvp because of this game and solely because of this game. and that isn't the case. i'm not a kobe lover by any stretch of the imagination, however most of the kobe haters here are ridiculous.

That's what I've been trying to say...

Kobe definitely got pretty passive, but he was double teamed the whole game, and when he passed out, his teammates missed shot after shot. He still finished 8-16 with 24, though. They shot 35 fucking percent though

Kobe should have been MVP because he had the best offensive season in the past decade, and led a team full of scrubs to the 7th seed in the playoffs. While Nash also took a bunch of no-names, all those players fit perfectly into the system that D'Antoni implemented, of running and gunning. Nash was just the driver in a great system. IMO, Chris Paul or Jason Kidd would have also done a great job with that team, and gotten them to the playoffs. Maybe not #2 seed, but definitely top 5 or 6. Nash is a great player, don't get me wrong, but he's been put in a perfect system. The triangle is built for players who can shoot and pass well. Brian Cook is the only good shooter on the team. Lamar can pass, but he doesn't have a good jumpshot. Kwame has no shot, and is very bad handling the ball. Smush is an average shooter, but a very bad passer. No one really fits the triangle at all, other than Kobe and Luke. That's why IMO Kobe should have been MVP.

I think he's going to win it next year with a better supporting cast (come on, Mitch) getting to a higher seed.
