So tonight on the halftime show on TNT, Ervin Johnson made a mention of Barbaro winning the Kentucky Derby today.

Charles Barkley just started saying like over and over, really? I bet on Barbaro.

Maybe it's just me, but I found it funny that the week it comes out that he has a huge gambling problem, spending tons of money trying to take down casinos, and he doesn't follow his bets. It was a good 4 hours after the Derby, and it sounded like he had no idea his bet had won. If you had bet thousands of dollars, wouldn't you be watching what you bet on?

that's exactly it.

the thing that gets me is that he is trying to draw attention to himself with this issue, instead of being an activist against it. he just had to one-up john daly. poor chuck needs attention.

what i hate is that he calls it a problem, but then said it's not a problem simply because he can afford it.
would this logic apply if he was a crackhead? would it not be that big of a problem because he could afford to by alot of crack?

I didn't see it, but it seems like the kind of thing he'd joke about, the sort of self-depricating thing. If he repeated it a bunch, maybe not...but I'd take my chances that he was cracking a joke on all the coverage

although he did say he doesn't understand why this is a story. he said it was simply an interview....
