we just got finished one for spring semester at school....it started as a beer league where we just had fun but it got extremely competitive, still a blast

this is most likely my last year of baseball (:( ) before i move on to beer softball and i'm very pumped for that. it sucks though 'cause i got dicked over by my american legion team so i have to play in the town league again. awesome...but, yea. softball's up ahead and i'm really excited to play that. so much fun.

yeah this is why I'm joining up. none of my friends like sports and I love baseball

it's modified pitch so I'm kind of worried because I haven't really played since high school....about 4 years ago.

I played for a summer, and one guy was a former double a pitcher who was brothers with a guy on the other team, and he blew everybody away. they then changed the rules because of that, hahaha.

could someone explain the idea behind a beer league softball team? is it basically like when the simpsons had the episode where ken griffey jr and others were ringers
(I.E. You can't leave first until you chug a beer.
Any man scoring has to chug a beer.
You have to chug a beer at the top of all odd-numbered innings.
Oh, and the fourth inning is the beer inning.)

in the one i play in, its sober until after the game. but i do know of other leagues where drinking during the game is allowed(there's a 3-limit), as far as i know within my area, nobody plays by those rules due to the worries of someone getting hurt if someone is drunk(in my league, infact, it was if there was someone drunk on either team, or someone drank more than 3 during a game, he was out of the game).

simply a softball game where few care about the game, everyone gets loaded, and there are specials at the bar after the game.

i'd love for our league to allow us to drink a lot. we bend the rules of staying sober, and we put down a few, but they're pretty strict about it.

I don't drink personally. I love to play sports though. It's just a lot better than being 22 and sitting on your ass for the summer with the exception of work

had a pretty good relationship with a girl i met while playing on a team.
and got kicked out of two games for fighting.

i also broke my thumb in the championship game 2 years ago, and punched a kid on my team for saying something shitty to my girlfriend.

needless to say...not playing this summer.
