I gave you the world
But the one thing that matters most
I let slip away
So we follow through this jungle
To take down a massive beast
As we side stepped over insects
And danced with all the leaves
Conserved all of our ammo
And with each delicate breath
We braced ourselves with caution
Afraid of what may come next
Our legs had grown weary
But we pushed a little more
As I take you where you shouldn't go
Lifeless body now on the floor
It'll all be worth while
Once our goal is achieved
So we continue to hide
Under the shade of trees
Overcome with self pride
In a flash of brilliance
The beast itself has appeared
We haven't looked back since
Its claws scratched your skin
Its arms wrapped with rage
And for whatever reason
I seemed to stay safe
A bomb like radiant glow
Suddenly covered the air
I then finally realized
How little I actually care
For you see I have forced
Words like poisonous leaves
But unfortunately darling
That I am the only true beast
