Noel Gallagher (Oasis) is talking trash (http://www.forthesound.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=2277&hview=findpost&p=5619) again (surprise) this time on James Blunt.
Noel Gallagher has put the boot into James Blunt over how much money the songwriter has earned. The Oasis guitarist has also given Welsh people a verbal kicking along with, as ever, his brother Liam.

"Did you see the rich list? I wasn't in it for third year running," Gallagher said. "James Blunt has supposedly got nine million quid. Right. He's only been going a year! I've been going 12."

He joked: "I've spent a lot on sweets but I should have more than nine million quid in the bank."

Speaking about Welsh people, the guitarist continued: "The ones you meet in London are all right but the real ones are a nightmare. For starters you can't understand a word they say."

In an interview with Russell Brand, to be televised on MTV this Sunday (April 7) at 8Pm, Noel also takes a swipe at Liam, saying: "For a guy who is probably one of the funniest people you will ever meet, he actually has no sense of humour. He's never told a funny joke in his life."

He added: "When you take the piss he has this weird look on his face, like a dog having a...you get the picture."

I hope Noel knows that his reputation for talking trash about others is one of the main reasons why he isn't having "nine million quid in the bank." Put the ego aside, put on a great show, and leave...there's no reason to talk trash. Plus, its the fans that keeps the bands alive out there and its not just all about them being "god's gift" in the music industry. From what I know, ever since Noel has been talking trash and putting his ego up front, I haven't heard any publicity about Oasis since. They still might be making great music to this day, but I haven't heard anything about them. I hope Noel learns his lesson somehow 'cuz what goes around, comes around...

If they did that, you probably wouldn't hear these bands anymore here too. I'm not a fan of Blunt myself, but there's no reason to criticize the dude just because he makes more money than you. No matter what any of those listed bands say, no one will give a shit about them in 3-5 years. Oasis have been going for over 12 years. Their success in the US has nothing to do with their egos, it has to do with differing tastes between the general buying publics.

Very true. I'm a massive Oasis fan and they truely are one of the greatest bands of all time. Noel Gallagher is genuis. He can talk as much shit as he wants cause he has simply earned the right. I don't always agree with him though. Besides what he said wasn't even that bad. And his relationship with Liam is alot better these days believe it or not. People talk way too much shit about Oasis.

I'm far from James Blunt's biggest fans, but how in the fuck is he a fake? So his first album did well because people like the music he's making. That's not his fault.
