Five Star Guitar (literally)

Hey,
I basically inherited this guitar from my mom who got it from my aunt. I love it and have no intent on selling it, but i would like to learn more about it. As you can expect, i search "Five Star Brand Guitar" and I get lots about great guitar brands. I was hoping that someone could tell me something about this guitar. No serial number that i can find and all i know is that it was made in the USA. Thanks.

Oh, and it does have an extraordinarily short neck. The neck hits the body at the 12th fret.
