Waiting to see what Copeland's set is before I decide if I'm going or not. I want When Paula Sparks and California. I'll probably end of going regardless. Barcelona is so solid live, I don't want to miss them.

I went on 10/1 at toads place in CT. Barcelona opened and had a great set, check them out if you haven't yet. It was my first time seeing Copeland and they didn't disappoint. Met Aaron after the show, one of the nicest dudes. They were delayed so the setlist was shortened by a song, they were supposed to play careful now after coffee.

Copeland setlist:
Love Affair
When Paula Sparks
Control Freak
The Grey Man
Sleep
On The Safest Ledge
Chin Up
Coffee
You Have My Attention

Barcelona was sooooo good. Copeland was good too, but I dont know their songs so it was ok. Relient k, eh it was ok.

I think Barcelona's setlist was:

Falling Out of Trees
Its About Time
Lesser Things
Come Back When You Can
Stars
The Takers

Copeland really needs to play other songs from YAMS. The last three tours have been the same set of songs. "Should You Return" is an obvious one, not to mention "Good Morning Fire Eater" and "To Be Happy Now".

Nice to see Relient K changing up the set. I So Hate Consequences, Chapstick, and Sadie Hawkins have been in their set for like 4 years now. Pretty exciting to see some old stuff from Two Lefts... Now if they'd play Pressing On again. That song is just classic Relient K.

Just got home from Charlotte's date. Barcelona was INCREDIBLE! I heard that they were good, but I didn't know they'd be THAT good! They're definitely one of the best bands I've ever seen perform live. Copeland was pretty good, I felt kind of bad during it (I've been really sick for the past two days) so I don't think I appreciated it as much as I could have. Relient K was good and the entire crowd was jumping up and down, it was pretty crazy. I don't know many of their songs so I left about a third of the way through their set.

The setlists are basically the same, from what I can remember.

10/10/09, 02:07 AM
Charlotte show:

6th time seeing Relient K (first time in 3 years), 8th time seeing Copeland (3rd time this year), and 3rd time seeing Barcelona (this band just keeps getting on the best tours. Amazing live band)

Relient K was a bundle of fun!!!!

The One I'm Waiting For
Be My Escape
Forget And Not Slow Down
Forward Motion
Falling Out
Mood Rings
The Office theme song (!!!!)
Which To Bury, Us Or The Hatchet
Let It All Out
Must Have Done Something Right
Devastation And Reform
Therapy
Island In The Sun (Weezer Cover)
Under The Sea
The Lining Is Silver
I Don't Need A Soul
High Of 75
---

There Was No Thief
Curl Up And Die
Who I Am Hates Who I've Been

may be a little bit out of order in the middle, but it was all played.

Copeland:

Love Affair
When Paula Sparks
Control Freak
Not Allowed
Sleep
The Grey Man
Chin Up
Coffee
You Have My Attention

Barcelona played "Response" tonight, which they said on stage that they never play live, so that was a nice treat. The set is the exact same, otherwise.

Also, Aaron Marsh came out to sing during "Let It All Out" which was met with cheers from the crowd. Awesome when bands do that. :)

Go see this tour if you have the chance. You will have an absolute BLAST of a time!

Copeland:
Love Affair
When Paula Sparks

The Grey Man

Brightest
You Have My Attention

they only played Brightest because me and my friends yelled it out then Aaron Marsh was like "this song is for those people who just yelled at us"

Relient K:
The One I'm Waiting For
Be My Escape
Forget and Not Slow Down
Forward Motion
Mood Rings
Therapy
Which to Bury, Us or the Hatchet?
Let it All Out
Island in the Sun
Under the Sea
I Don't Need A Soul
The Lining is Silver
Devastation and Reform
Must Have Done Something Right (shortened version)
High of 75

Curl Up and Die
There Was No Thief
Who I Am Hates Who I've Been

Which to Bury/Let It All Out was a great moment, Aaron Marsh did the guest part in the song. The encore was amazing- There Was No Thief was powerful, and they picked a great closer. Relient K was the best i have ever seen them, they really put their soul into it. I went expecting to be blown away by Copeland, who i've never seen live before. Instead i was blown away by the band i've already seen three times.

ALSO: Barcelona was amazing for a band i'd never really listened to before.

If they are, before they do they should tour and just play Beneath Medicine Tree. By far the best Copeland album to date.

Not sure if anybody went to the Chicago show last night at the HOB or not, but I have to say, it was HANDS DOWN the worst Copeland performance I've ever seen.
I've been completely infatuated with this band for the past 4-5 years and have seen them every time they've come to Chicago and have always been completely blown away.
Last night, I had a group of 6 people with me, all to see Copeland, and we were all so disappointed.
There was no heart, no energy, and what appeared to be a complete lack of interest. It was a shame that the two bands that I really didn't have anything good/bad to say about before the show ended up being the saving grace.
Even when Aaron went on stage to sing with Relient K (not sure what the song is, again, not a fan) he looked annoyed and almost disgusted.
He sang his part (really half-assed it), handed his mic to the sound engineer, stood on the side of the stage for less than a minute and disappeared.
I don't know...I feel really let down...

Went to the Kansas City show last night at the Beaumont Club. Barcelona definitely won the crowd over. They are so so good. Copeland was kinda meh... they sounded good, but besides Aaron, nobody really looked like they cared to be there. They weren't really my style, but I liked a few of their songs. Relient K was excellent. They played a set similar to what they've been playing, but had to shorten a few songs because Matt said he was sick. They were definitely a fun band to see. They played:

Not in order

The One I'm Waiting For
Be My Escape
Forget and Not Slow Down
Forward Motion
Falling Out
Mood Rings
Therapy
I Don't Need A Soul
Under The Sea (Little Mermaid Cover)
Island in the Sun (Weezer Cover)
The Office Theme Song
Subway Song (Five Dollar Foot Long)
Which To Bury, Us or the Hatchet
Let It All Out
Must Have Done Something Right
The Lining Is Silver
High of 75

Curl Up and Die
There Was No Thief
Who I Am Hates Who I've Been

I was surprised that they only played one song from Five Score (especially since they only played a minute or so of MHDSR). The new songs sounded awesome though and their covers were really well done. Great show.

I got that impression too, at the Atlanta date. It wasn't awful, it was just kind of a letdown. I felt like the band lost a lot in the cd to live transition. it's the only time i've seen them live, so it could have just been recently. Aaron Marsh just kind of looked depressed, and the rest of the band just wasn't interesting.

I still had a great time.

i think it's just a rumor, but a friend of a friend said copeland is breaking up after this tour

I talked to Aaron Marsh after the show in the Denver, I asked him about it and he said that although he will never stop making music, he very likely will have to end Copeland due to financial difficulties. Apparently YAMS didn't sell as well as it should have, but he said he would want to end Copeland with a bang with that album. They're definitely doing at least one more headlining tour which will be in the spring.

Oh my fucking shit. I hope to God that is not the case. Copeland has been one of my favorite bands for the past 5 years. I will seriously lose my shit if they break up.

Do have to agree about them being super disappointing live on this tour
