Who's going to take Drew Bledsoe over Ben Roethlesberger...even in Fantasy?
Edgerin James? Rudi Johnson?
Where in the name of hell is Shaun Alexander and Tiki Barber? Ladainian?

Very safe picks. Drew Brees though? I doubt he will have a fantasy crushing season..Who does he have? Reggie Bush? ...Joe Horn coming off an injury? .hmm....Matt Hasselbeck will out perform him ...

Roethesberger is a good quarterback. But not a great fantasy quarterback, especially when the Steelers run 70% of the time.
Edge has been in the top 5-10 the past 2 years. Rudi was in the top 5 last year.
I honestly don't think that Alexander and Barber will continue their domination, and Ladanian will be in the top 5, but I don't think top 3.

I hate him, but how can you not have Peyton Manning as one of your top 2 qb's?

I don't agree with the QB or HB list at all. Also, look for Big Ben to breakout this year...the Steelers are going to pass more. Plus this is going to be his first season where he starts the entire year. (Last year injured; year before came in as a rookie)Trust me on this one. I mean, it's just a hunch, but he's the sleeper QB this year.
The top 3 QBs: Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, and McNabb
The top 3 RBs: LT, Shaun Alexander, Tiki Barber (Sleeper: Steven Jackson)
The top 3 WRs: Steve Smith, Torry Holt, and Chad Johnson
The top 3 TEs: Gates, Shockey, and Heap

The only reason i dont agree about Roethlisberger is because he plays for the Steelers. As soon as the get a lead of 10 or more, they just start pounding the ball. He rarely does much in the 2nd half other than handoff to the rb

Yeah I know. We always pass in the beginning of the game and gain a lead. Once we have the lead we just pound the ball in the second half. But if we're behind in the 2nd half (which isn't often) we pass a lot more. I just have a feeling that the Steelers are going to pass more often this year, and that's good for Ben.
Also, my top 3 can change at any time. It's only May.

that's a ridiculous statement that's been made for 4 years now, and he can't even run a route. joe horn takes half the coverage and he still can't manage more than 1 catch a game half the time.

I mostly agree with you, some difference though.
Top 3 QB's: Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Carson Palmer(if healthy)
Top 3 RB's: LaDainian Tomlinson, Shaun Alexander, Larry Johnson
Top 3 WR's: Steve Smith, Chad Johnson, Torry Holt
Top 3 TE's: Antonio Gates, Jeremy Shockey, Jason Witten
I didn't know whether to put Tiki or LJ on for RB's, but I think Larry Johnson is going to have a huge year.

I'm pretty much going by the scoring system I use in most leagues, which is 1 point for every reception, 1 point for every 10 receiving/rushing yards, 1 point for 25 passing yards, 6 points for a TD, etc... So with that scoring system a RB like Tiki is a monster.
Yeah, good list. If Palmer is healthy, he's in the top 5 at least. But right now, I'm not totally sure with him just yet. We'll have to see.

Yeah, Tiki is a big fantasy guy. I'm kinda hoping in my drafts I don't get top 3 picks, because I don't want to pass on Larry Johnson, LT, or Shaun Alexander; Peyton and Tiki probably round out the top 5.

You guys can say my picks are terrible all you want; people do the same every year, and then comes the season, and I crush their ass. People thought my picks last year were a pile of shit. "Steve Smith? You're a fucking dumbass! Carson Palmer? Why would you pick him you ***got!" So, just watch and learn.

If you had people in your league who called you a dumbass for picking steve smith, find another league. if you're beating those people, congratulations, i have a 7 year old sister who could too.
my fantasy league has been going on for five years, i've won my division four years and been to the championship game three years.
thanks for playing.

Yeah, take Rudi Johnson over LT or Shaun. Good idea.
Chris Chambers will be fantastic when Daunte goes down in Week 4 and he has Joey passing to him the rest of the year.
Drew Brees was a wreck until he had Gates. Now he has Ernie Conwell. Oh, and it's a greatttt idea to take a quarterback coming off shoulder surgery. Maybe if you're lucky, you can take Pennington to back him up.
If Peyton Manning isn't one of the first three QB's off your league's board, it isn't a league worth being in.
I mostly agree with you, some difference though.

I mostly agree with you. I don't know about Brady though. He's productive and super-consistent, but he's never been a huge numbers guy as far as fantasy goes. I'd probably be more inclined to take Hasselbeck or Bulger (again, if he's healthy). Brady certainly isn't a bad choice, though. If for no other reason, because he's so consistent and puts up good numbers on a weekly basis. For TE's, I'd probably put Heap back in there over Witten. Drew Bledsoe is so unreliable (not that Kyle Boller is the least bit reliable, but Heap seems to do well regardless because the Ravens have so few weapons).

With those picks I do not believe you "dominated" your league, nor do I believe it was possible that your league had Smith, Boldin and Rudi Johnson, unless it was a four team league or a league with owners who have literally never watched football before. Welcome to Fantasy Football for rookies, your picks are terrible.

I agree with you, besides on Jason Witten. Tony Gonzalez will come back this year. Also, Palmer will NOT be healthy, at least not for a little while so I would go with McNabb or hell, Eli Manning may put it together this year. Cannot argue with top 3 RB's, but I bet LJ leads the NFL in rushing and rushing TD's. I'd like to put Larry Fitzgerald in the top 3 WR's, or Moss/Owens back in, but those 3 are just way too solid.
Sleeper pick, although it's not much of a sleeper but I could easily see him putting up top 5 fantasy production if he stays healthy is Kurt Warner. Throwing to Boldin, Fitzgerald and Leonard Pope, handing off to Edge? That's a pretty sweet setup.

Shaun Alexander is a fantasy player's wet dream, and you're a fucking idiot for not calling him top 3 at his posistion, period. Even if he has a huge drop-off from last year he'll still be a top 3 fantasy running back.

Do people not understand that you can't just judge your fantasy picks on last year? The previous year means close to nothing in football.

i do understand that. i learned that lesson two years ago. and now, in retrospect, i just remembered phil rivers is going to be throwing to gates. in that case, gates not being in the top 3 does make sense. but c'mon now, not having alexander in the top 3? what's changed there? exactly. nothing changed with smith's situation either. i don't see why he wouldn't have a great year.

I have Smith in my top 3. Especially since they have Johnson at number 2 now, rather than Colbert. Seattle's line is getting older, and the loss of Hutchinson didn't help. I have a gut feeling that Alexander is going to pull a Priest Holmes and get hurt. And even if he didn't, I'm not saying he's going to play poorly, in fact I think he'd be top 5 easily, without getting hurt.

steve smith could work either way. keyshawn could take more coverage, leaving smith more open to make even more plays than last year, or keyshawn can be keyshawn of old and be effective, thus taking some receptions and yards away from smith, which, for the team is better. for fantasy, it isn't.
the hutchinson loss for seattle will hurt, but i don't think it's as big a deal as it's made out to be. whoever is plugged in there is still lining up next to walter jones, and that greatly improves anybody's ability. and it's not like alexander just exploded last year and had a great season. he's been consistently great for quite a few seasons now. and it took seattle long enough to pay him, he'll probably come out proving how worth it he is.

Drew Bledsoe is old and getting older, yet he's in your top 5. just because they pick up TO doesn't mean he's going to throw for 4,000 yards and 35+ TD's. with Bledsoe's in your face approach i could see him and TO getting into a few arguments this year, which really won't help. and besides TO, who else does he have to throw to besides Jason Witten?

Walter Jones is 31, but everyone knows he's still the best offensive lineman in the game.
Pork Chop Womack is 27.
Robbie Tobeck is 35, but it certainly hasn't slowed him in previous years..he's played in 48 straight games
Locklear is like 23, and Tom Ashworth is like 28. There's plenty of depth and youth to back up the older players on the line as well. I wouldn't be concerned about Seattle's line at all.
I don't know if you call him #1 this year, I mean I'd have to go with Larry Johnson, but he's certainly top 3 again.
