View Full Version : Music Industry Question
I am at a community college and am deciding my major soon. But I need to get a good profession past my parents cause they pay for it all. What is a good music industry job that will guarantee you a job when you come out?

It's what I'm studying at the Community College down here.
The guy that teaches all the Audio Engineering classes gets you a job like your second semester doing live sound and shit. They also have classes like "Survey of The Music Business" "MIDI Synthesis" "Remixing I & II" "Venue Management", it's a pretty sweet deal.
In the Music Industry there is no guaranteed job you got to be willing to take the risk and work your way up, contacts are key, its all about who you know, look into an internship, great way to get contacts!

I just wanted to say good luck finding a good job in the music industry at this time.
Major means nothing without contacts as someone else said.
