He is actually the best player around at the moment.. I wouldn't pay it. But Madrid did, so yes he is.

I love football, and he is definitely the best player in the world at the moment. But i don't see how anyone can justify paying £80million for someone's ability to kick a ball.

Yes. By far. . . it's not really even a question. Have you ever watched football? There's only a few fingers worth of guys that are in his class. I'm not saying I like him or anything, but who doesn't want that.

Because his ticket sales, jersey sales, advertising draw, etc etc will outweigh all that. Jordan could've been paid $100 million a season and the Bulls/NBA would've still come out on top
