Such a tough call for me between Friendship and Cities. I went with Never Take Friendship Personal because it got me into them and I still really like it.

Blue Prints for the black market. First was the best then they started to change, although there knew sound is more mature, he old youthful stuff best.

I don't see how anyone could pick anything but Cities or Friendship. I went with Cities because it has (*Fin) and Godspeed. They're both amazing albums though.

The thing about Cities being perfect to you, I second that. That album is definitely perfect to me. Got into them with Friendship, but loved them after Cities. New Surrender took a while to grow on me, but I do enjoy it. Same with Blueprints.

I got into anberlin with blueprints for the black market....it may not be their best technically...but it means the most to me and has some kickass songs on there (ready fuels)

NTFP got me into them so I voted that, but I think Cities is their best album. NTFP is my favorite I guess. Cities is clearly their best album though, they just clicked on that album, it is perfect.

They've been saying recently that their next album next year will be going back to the Cities feel, and that's a good thing. New Surrender was good but I can't wait for new anberlin. My all time favorite band.

Definitely Cities. Probably the closest thing to a perfect record that I've heard in this decade.

I loved how the music complimented the album art on Cities (if that made sense). I have such a vision when I hear those songs.

Personally like Friendship, for it's nostalgic value, and it got me into them first and foremost. But, in terms of writing, Cities undoubtedly.

Why? I voted for Cities because I think it's when Anberlin truly crafted and owned their sound.

Never Take Friendship Personal is the reason why I became a fan (and why I'm still a fan)

I'm not an Anberlin listener at all, but I just was under the impression that that was not their most popular album. I apologize for being in the wrong.

Don't get me wrong, I wasn't saying that you're wrong. It's just an opinion. I was just wondering why you were surprised that everyone voted for Cities, and explaining why I voted for it.

Makes sense. I just figured New Surrender and Never Take Friendship Personal were their best received, seeing as they were respectively their first major label release, and the release that got them some attention.

Funny that you say that. I was going to vote for Never Take Friendship Personal, since that's the first Anberlin album I really got into, but Cities really is just the best all around album of theirs. I seriously recommend that to anyone wanting to check out Anberlin. Great album.

I'm pretty sure New Surrender is the least well received. It's definitely their worst imo.

Cities, easily.
Nothing compares to the ending of that album.
Plus I don't think any one of those songs could be classified as a filler song.

Cities is brilliant, but I have to listen to it as a whole. I find myself refusing to listen to individual songs off that record.
The result is that I listen to it less.
I play New Surrender and Friendship the most, and Blueprints still get rotation as well.

My vote went to Cities, since this is about best.

I voted for Never Take Friendship Personal, simply because it was the album that made me first fall in love with Anberlin. Cities was also remarkable, but the nostalgia factor ended up being the deciding element in this one.

I thought Whisper was great, Reclusion was pretty good too.
If anything, I think that album's weakest song was There is No Mathematics To Love and Loss

Cities. One of my favourite albums by one of my favourite bands.

NTFP is great. NS isn't as bad an album as some people make out. It's just not as good as Anberlin should be. BFTBM is a solid debut but I don't listen to it much anymore, except a few songs (I love Naive Orleans).

I really didn't like There is No Mathematics... for a good few months after getting the album but it suddenly clicked with me. I love it now.

So close between Cities and NTFP. I think Cities is awesome from start to finish, but The Feel Good Drag and Paperthin Hymn push NTFP over the top.
