Hmmm. When I was being recruited for pitching, many schools prefer northern school pitchers because they do not pitch as much compared to warm weather pitchers....which could explain some of the injury problems he has had in the past -- more wear and tear.

that's the thing, when you're stuff is fastball and change up, you need to locate that fastball well, which he's known for. teams are going to get his report and start hitting him if he doesnt, but when he calms down and starts hitting his mark he's got a good shot at being a good one.

Nah, Duke doesn't strike people out like Cole does. Hamels will be good for about a month, then IMO he's not going to be better than a 4.00 ERA pitcher for this year. Duke gives up hits, but is still a smart pitcher that hits his spots. Very Mark Mulder like. If he can ever figure out how to warm up properly and get out of a 1st inning unscathed he will be dominant again.
