I'm not looking for anything like, "I hate you, I want to leave you." Just songs about wanting to get away from where you are in life, find someplace new. See the world, leave the wreck here behind.
I have a couple songs already:
Holiday - Boys Like Girls
Kite Song - Rosie Thomas
All I Can See - Brendan James
Seattle - The Classic Crime
Let's Get Away from It All - Frank Sinatra
The Day I Lost My Voice (The Suitcase Song) - Copeland
Trying to Pull Myself Away - Glen Hansard
Brat Pack - The Rocket Summer
Edit:
Sell All My Things - Rosie Thomas
Boston - Augustana
Save - The Rocket Summer
Calender Marks - My Favorite Highway
Work - Jimmy Eat World
Walking Away - Craig David
Anywhere But Here - Mayday Parade
World Away - Emery
To The Moon For All I Care - Search the City
Song for the Road - David Ford
Runaway - Thriving Ivory
California - Phantom Planet
Revolution - Mercy Mercedes
Any songs you could offer would be great! Thanks for your help!

search the city - to the moon for all i care (not too sure if this one is what youre looking for, but ive found it applies to me in the past in somewhat similar situations. "stop the search, i found what im looking for")
emery - world away
drop dead gorgeous - we're planning, god's laughing (again, may not be what you're looking for, but in the past when i found myself in a rock bottom situation the lyrics "you just come home inside your soul" has related. the idea of leaving it all behind, changing back to who you really are, etc)
the rocket summer - save (i prefer to relate this with a religious aspect rather than for a significant other that some people might choose.)
anberlin - breathe
ill put some more thought into it and see if i can come up with some more that might relate to you a little better, these are just some of of the ones ive related to in the past

Save by The Rocket Summer is a great track. Definitely the sort of thing I was looking for. Thanks for your suggestions!

Perfect! Totally don't know why I didn't think of that song.
Ooh so glad you got The Classic Crime up there. Seattle's my favorite.
Back to your question, I can think of:
Mayday Parade - Anywhere But Here
Craig David - Walking Away
Jimmy Eat World - Work

The Demo Version of Work has such a sick drum track. It was included on the second CD of the deluxe version of the album. Don't think it's avaialble online, but it's so fantastic.

These are great! I'm really liking Work (I've had it on repeat a couple times...)
Seattle = awesome. I adore The Classic Crime, and their Seattle Sessions EP is one of my favorite albums in existence.

Dear Mr. BryterJonah (http://absolutepunk.net/member.php?u=695472),
Your taste in music wins. If I could hand you a "You Have An Awesome Taste in Music" award (that I made myself with crayons and construction paper) through the internet, I would.
Regards,
-Me.
