shane's got 10 hits in his last 13 at bats
i was talking to justin when he came up for the 5th time last night and said "if shane hits here, he's my favorite player." shane jacked the next pitch.

i dont feel like researching whatever thread its in, but i said i think shane should replace abreu and we can get rid of him. that was before rowand got hurt, but either way i think that we should get rid of abreu. victorino is more than just a serviceable bench guy; hes an everyday outfielder.

i agree...i think the more likely idea is ship delucci and shane can back both guys up, but we can get so much for bobby, and shane would have a great every day player

I already did. Haha.

abreu's value is slowly sinking. in the midst of this hot streak they're on, his BA has dipped considerably but hes still getting on base. he wont swing the damn bat after the 5th

Why? He really hasn't been good this year. Maybe average at best for a CF. He needs to start running again for my fantasy team.

he's been a .300+ hitter from the left...they just keep letting him switch hit which is a mistake. but he's second in the NL in stolen bases and first in outfield assists. seems like every game he's doing another thing to get the crowd into the game and spark up the team. plus i have his rookie card.

Always a valid reason for liking a player haha.
Hes fun to watch (especially his cannon for an arm). I like players like him that do pretty much everything very well.

I've been hearing they would like to move Rowand for a bullpen arm, move Victorino to center, and let Dobbs and Werth platoon in right with Bourn as the fourth outfielder.
I love Rowand right now and he is the only right handed threat in the lineup right now. I mean if Helms was hitting for power this year, he has 0 home runs somehow, then maybe you could make the deal.
I just don't want them to move him for a rent-a-player washed up arm. They need an established setup man.

yeah, that was the speculation in spring training, but then Rowand comes out on fire and makes it really tough to part with him. throw in the fact that pat burrell hasn't been anywhere close to an acceptable major leaguer this season, and we're kind of in a tough spot.
rowand's fielding has been off this year though...he's misjudged more than his fair share. Dobbs needs a place to go in the starting lineup at this point and we do need to get the other two involved so they're ready when we need them. If there was only a way to drop Burrell this whole thing would be much easier to figure out.
