which band to go for?

Been out of a band for awhile and then BAM college came around and a bunch of local acts lost their drummers. So now I've got a couple groups wanting me to try out/join, can't really make up my mind though. which one do you think has more potential?

The Medication- emo with some tinges of punk rock? they tell me they're starting to lean more towards metal, though.

I know it's different styles and all but I'm just wondering what you guys think has more staying power.

go try out for both. feel the guys out and see which one you have the most fun with and think you would like being a a part of. I dont really care for either band personally, but my opinion, or anyone else on here, should matter. do what you love and have fun and you will get out of it what you want.
