Wanted to get your opinions on the band Emery, likes, dislikes and what your favourite album is.

I personally love The Question as it shows the emotion I like to find and has lyrics that I find have been well thought out.
However I feel that alot of their albums after that, maybe with the exception of "I'm Only a man", have been pretty weak.

Your thoughts?

I'm only a man was likely their weakest effort. I voted for The Question because it's such a stellar album. But, their newest album, In Shallow Seas, is certainly showing a return to form. The harmonies on the album are fantastic.

For the longest time, I would have said that The Weak's End was their best, but I keep coming back to The Question out of all their records. Their new record is also great, but I need more history with it to see where it would fall.

This has thread already been done.

That being said, The Question is my favorite.

I agree with the above statement.

"Walls" is my favorite song of theirs though, which is on The Weak's End.

I only like in Shallow Seas We Sail. I've listened to The Question way too much in my day and it just grew old. I didn't like I'm Only A Man and the EP sucked so when I heard ISSWS, I was happy. Shit's good.

Agreed. I fucking hate the review that Blake Solomon did. I think the EP is one of the band's strongest releases.

The Weaks End. The Question is good, but The Weaks End is fantastic.

I enjoy it a fair amount, but it's still my least favorite of theirs. I went with The Question, Weak's End and In Shallow Seas will be tied for me right now.

I'm not even aware that there is The Columbus EP, how ignorant of me. Also I don't really understand the disapproval for I'm Only A Man either. It's right up there with The Question for me since two songs on that album (Can't Stop the Killer and Don't Bore Us, Get Into the Chorus) were the one that got me hooked onto Emery.

I really liked The Question, but I stopped following them after that. I think I may have got bored of them.

The Weak's End is the only correct answer. Such an exceptional album.

the weak's end was great, Walls was my introduction to this band. I do agree with the Question perfecting the sound though, I'm Only a Man started to get a bit too gimmicky for me, but While Broken Hearts and In Shallow Seas are a perfect return to form. fantastic band. Now we just need more north of the border headlining dates...
