ever get the feeling a song/album fits nearly perfectly with a movie? Surely I can't be the only one.
Obvious choice: This is How I Go (Yellowcard) and Big Fish..... duh.
First of all, I love the soundtrack for 500 days of summer.
Secondly, Forget and Not Slow Down (well what I've heard aka 6 tracks maybe) is solid.
Not sure if they fit each other though, but I know what you mean.
Watching 500 days of summer I could only think of Ben Gibbard singing cheesy "I'm so lucky in love' songs...
Can't blame him...

I've heard something like this before. Some people believe that Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon fits perfectly with The Wizard of Oz.

i think you and the original poster are using the word "fit" differently...dark side of the moon is supposed to sync up with exact sequences in the wizard of oz if you start playing it at the right time. i think he means that forget and not slow down gives him the same sort of impression as 500 days of summer. maybe.

You do know that Yellowcard wrote this song specifically because Ryan loves that movie...they did it intentionally.

i love this movie so much. the soundtrack, like everyone else is saying, is fantastic. (it took days for me to get "sweeeeeeeet diiiiiiispooosiition" out of my head. now i got "outside, there's a boxcar waiting..." being sung drunkenly in my head)
i'm in love with relient k's album waaaay more than i i thought i was going to. especially with their previous one not being all that great, this one really impressed me.
as for these two brilliant things coming together, i don't know. there are some parts that go well together, for sure.. right now i'm listening to "over it" and it sounds like that sad point when they start going down as a couple. so i can definitely see how they fit, but not perfectly.

This has just made me want to listen to the new Relient K album whereas before I probably wouldn't have gone out of my way to. I like (500) Days of Summer far too much
