I don't even check tour dates anymore because I know nothing comes remotely close to me. If I checked, I'd just be terribly disappointed. :(

With exception of The Counting Crows..

People are saying Cartel, Forgive Durden, Saosin bands like that.. I mean it's cool if you like them or whatever but to say you've been waiting a long time to see these bands and you'll like it so much just to watch a set of theirs, it's stupid.

I was chose Cartel since this thread is in the pop forum. I was thinking mainly pop acts. There are a lot of acts I would certainly see over Cartel (ie Brand New, Descendents or John Mayer).

when i am seeing a band live, it doesn't matter what impact they've had on the face of music. it's all about that moment of their performance and me being there seeing them, singing along every word, and having a fucking good time. maybe i can't impress my kids or even my friends by saying that i saw Saosin, but i know it would be an incredible experience for me.

I've heard that from a few people about Circa Survive, so I'm not going to worry about seeing them so much.

Just Surrender just never comes to Northern California, and the last time they did was last year, and was two hours north of where I live. I couldn't arrange my work schedule in a way to allow me time to get up there without missing them since they were opening.
One of these days though... they can't avoid San Francisco for ever.
