Moore a hypocrit?
A movie that attacks capitalism is being released to make profit....Moore is benefiting from the successes of capitalism, no? I mean this movie is being released in major movie theater companies, that try and exploit the capitalistic system as well, no? Just saying. I like moore's films, just being a bugger.

I don't hate Michael Moore, but he always seems to take good ideas and over-sensationalize them. Yes, capitalism is 'evil' in its purest, unregulated form, but reasonable, regulated capitalism, mixed with some government intervention for certain things is a good system.
Human beings are inherently greedy. It is built into us biologically. Greed is a survival mechanism. But in a modern world, we need rules, laws, and regulations to keep our greed from destroying and/or hurting others.
Also, I thought Bowling For Columbine was an absolutely god-awful movie. And I consider myself relatively liberal. It reeked of sensationalist bullshit and dishonest editing.
Also, at the end of the movie he suggests that we replace capitalism with democracy. Democracy is a form of government while capitalism is an economic/social system. Come on, Michael. You can do better that that. I'll still watch this, because there will be some good points made, but it's hard to take Michael Moore completely seriously.
Edit: Is anyone else sick of hearing Paper Airplanes in movie trailers? Haha.

There is a difference between exploiting capitalism for greed's sake (cheating people out of money in dishonest ways) and making money by spreading information.
Just saying.
I also think it's funny that I, as someone that does not like his work that much, am here defending him from someone that does like his work. Something new everyday, I guess :-)

You don't know what socialism is. If 'spreading the wealth' was socialism then America has been a socialist country since 1913. Ronald Reagan and both Bushes were socialists. Once Obama starts putting workers in control of factories and he eliminates the concept of private property you can come back here and bitch about socialism. Your lack of comprehension on even the most fundamental, basic topics astounds me and only leads me to conclude that World Net Daily is your homepage, and Rush Limbaugh's talk show is your '1' preset in your car radio.
You're just fucking dumb. There's no way around it. The things you say are not matters of opinion. You're just wrong. You're wrong. Incorrect. Not right.
Oh, and not to mention that he's right. Inequal income distribution has proven to be extremely detrimental to the economy...

What time period on this graph was the most income concentrated in the top 10%? Here's another brain teaser: what really important event (http://www.eslpod.com/eslpod_blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/09/stock_market_crash.jpg) happened the next year? How about the second most concentrated point on that graph? You know, the one occurring in 1928? God, you're a dumb fuck.

Is someone upset that their president isn't all that he cracked up to be?
9.7% unemployment rate? U.S. national debt 11 trillion+?
Looks like that stimulus package is working out great.
But hey, I didn't vote for him. I learned in my college economics classes that none of his ideas would work. But hey, you wouldn't know anything about that would you.....

Is someone upset that their president isn't all that he cracked up to be?
He was better than the alternative.
9.7% unemployment rate? U.S. national debt 11 trillion+? Looks like it's your own fault for trusting his administration's projections for the unemployment rate. As for the rise in unemployment since he took office...well, let's be honest here, it's not like he inherited a nation in the greatest economic shape. If a mother gives birth to an AIDS baby, do you blame the baby?
Looks like that stimulus package is working out great. Not even the small portion that's been meted out has had enough time to manifest itself in the unemployment. If you were expecting a quick fix, then those 'college economics classes' failed you miserably. Not to mention 'common sense' and the 'ability to reason'.
But hey, I didn't vote for him. Hey, cool, neither did I.
I learned in my college economics classes that none of his ideas would work. What, welfare-state capitalism?
But hey, you wouldn't know anything about that would you..... Who needs facts, statistics, and logic when you have ageism? How about you rebut what I said (http://absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?p=53493072#post53493 072)?
You kind of remind me of a baby bird. See, when a mother bird raises her young, to feed them, she will ingest food, regurgitate it, and then deliver it into the beak of the baby. Sounds gross, right? Well, the baby birds don't really know any better, so they kind of just take what they're given. Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, (and any of the factfree nutterbutters who you regularly worship); they somehow won the media lottery are the mother birds - they ingest facts, regurgitate lies, conspiracy theories, and intellectually devoid "philosophies". You are the baby bird - and since you don't know any better, you gobble it up like there's no tomorrow.
Status check: you're still a fucking moron.

Sicko was very eye opening. Everyone knows that many many people can't afford health care and most people barely can. Not everyone knows how these companies hit record profits every year, it's absolutely disgusting. The profit does need to be cut out.
I'm looking forward to seeing this one. Only after corporate greed is regulated will America be able to even consider getting back on the right track. These companies write American's lives out for them.

What? I went there because Donuts are allegorical to American Greed and Capitalism. I don't even know what he looks like. I was attempting to think up a witty sequel title. I apologize if I touched a nerve there, good sir. I would be happy to buy you a sugary treat to ease the pain.

You're assuming only fat people eat donuts. Donuts are delicious, enjoyable by all, and completely devoid of nutritional value. They are bought purely for enjoyment and sold purely for profit. Enjoyment and profit very much lie at the center of American capitalism, a center that can be viewed as devoid of any real substance like...a donut. We, Americans buy more for pure want and pleasure more than any other country in the world. Corporations realize this and their adds, products, and stores pervade our society. Donuts are not a necessity nor are they nutritional; yet we, the public continue to consume them. Abstract this down to its basic idea and you have: Temporary pleasures are not a necessity nor are they generally fulfilling; yet we, the people continue to spend money on them. Thus Donuts are in fact allegorical to American capitalism and greed, as evinced by the similarities I have just enumerated.
