I get why Jared's attitude tends to polarize listeners (the one time I met him, he down-right freaked me the fuck out), but his ear for songwriting and powerful melodies is undeniable. The band got off to an iffy start on their first record, but A Beautiful Lie is pretty damn good, and I really dig this song.

Well, duh, Daisy isn't their most accessible album. Maybe your baby ears should listen to Your Favorite Weapon (or if you have a more mature taste, then Deja Entendu will do), because it's most like 30STM. But not even, because 30 Seconds To Mars is ass, and those two cds aren't.

And, shit, the worst song on YFW or Deja Entendu is miles above anything that shitty actor/frontman could ever come up with.

Brand New is not even close to being my favorite band but I do respect their music and their talents because frankly they write and produce some of the best music in the current scene

That being said, I enjoy 30STM new song. I really enjoyed a Beautiful Lie but I knew that album was going to be amazing before i got it because The Kill and Attack were really powerful and had some great screaming throughout

I probably won't hold my breath waiting for this album though, because they sound like they are trying to be something they are not. I honestly miss the screams and intensity.

Well the real reason I like them is for their music videos. Those are genius. So I'll wait for the video to make my decision

Yeah, I don't recall mentioning his lyrics being anything to write home about, but there's a lot of very strong melodies on that record. The first one has its share of fantastic moments as well, particularly "Oblivion" and "Echelon", but it seemed to meander a bit too much for my taste.

I've pretty much fallen in love with this song. Not really sure why. I wasn't sure about it at first, but I've listened to it several times today (and yesterday) and it's just clicked with me.

I loved their self-titled, but A Beautiful Lie was the only album I bought at midnight the day it came out and promptly returned it when they opened the next day I was that disappointed. Here's hoping the new album is as focused/thematic/well-written as their self titled. That album was like a soundtrack to a movie that didn't exist yet and was pure gold.
