I don't know if anyone will be able to help, but I'm wondering if anyone knows anything about the former members of late-90s New Jersey ska outfit Day 19. I was just listening to "13 Legs," an old favorite, and just wanted to know if any of them are still out there playing music somewhere. Thanks!
I registered an acct here just to respond to you...hopefully you get this....was doing a Google on the old band because me and Obi were reminiscing the other day
This is Jason from Day 19. A lot of the guys are doing stuff. Ryan was/is in Tokyo Rose, Obi is in Westbound Train, my brother Brian and I have started other bands but never really pursued it seriously after Day 19 went their separate ways in 2002. We all still keep in touch and some of the guys are close (Woody, Ryan, Obi all still hang out)...Hope this helps!

I used to see Day 19 all the time growing up and, Jason, I actually used to speak to you on the phone from time to time about my record label, New World Records. Wild stuff!
Just to add to the discussion, I believe Tokyo Rose and Westbound Train have called/are calling it quits, yeah?
Oh yeah I totally remember you Alex! I do think Westbound Train has called it quits last I heard. I think Obi might be doing his own thing but I'm unsure.
The late 90's/early 00's were a good time in the NJ scene and I'm still best friends with several members of One Cool Guy and Taxicab Samurai's
And The Sir, if you send me a PM, I'll send u a link to unreleased tracks from Day 19 that were supposed to make it onto our 2nd disc.

When did Westbound Train call it quits? They released a new album last year, what's happened since then?

Sorry to drag this topic back out, but does anyone know of a way I can get my hands on a scan of the album art? I have searched high and low and for the life of me I cannot find the cd. Any help would be appreciated.

for yearssss, i've been trying to find some info on this band online, but nothing ever came up. I went to high school with these guys, and have vivid memories of rocking out to their music in our cd players on a field trip to Montreal. After several years, and several moves, I can't find the cd. Can anyone help reunite me with their music somehow? thanks!

Yo Jason, what's up man! Not sure if you remember me, but this is Matt Smith (I used to play guitar in a band called The Blithering Idiots in NJ and we played a bunch of shows with you guys). Now I'm playing in a band called Stereogrove up in Boston with the same drummer Matt Butler. I was doing a search for Day 19 because I stumbled upon Engine #9 and remembered how great of a song it was, and I was wondering if I can get that album from you somehow? Let me know man, and hope all's well.

What up All, It's Woody from Day 19. Those were some awesome years. Thanks to all who continue to have an interest in the music that we created and for all of the great memories. God Bless

I grew up in East Brunswick, I remember Day 19. I also joined this website just for this discussion. I remember a tune along the lines of:
"Greetings from Wildwood crest, you know I tried my very best..."
Ring any bells? If any of you have any Day 19 cds that you would sell/burn for me, I'll gladly pay for them.
