Rise Records (http://www.riserecords.com) has signed Sacramento, CA's Catherine (http://www.myspace.com/catherine). Their debut full length will hit stores on August 8th.

Rise has made some great signings as of late, such as this band, Drop Dead, Gorgeous and The Devil Wears Prada.

i listened to about eight seconds and even my pet squirrel ran away.

At the very least can we agree they need a better name, with a name like Catherine I want some hot chick who sings crappy pop. Not a death metal, I can't understand what's going on, I use verbal grunts as a means of communication that hasn't been around since australiopithicus.

I'm very pleased with Rise and the bands that they have signed lately. Drop Dead, Gorgeous' new album was amazing.

Catherine sounds pretty badass.

Yeah here's the difference between my shitty band and their shitty band.

My shitty band records in my room using 3 microphones and a PA for 2 days.

My shitty band doesn't have a producer or exec.

My shitty band ACTUALLY USES REAL WORDS THAT AREN'T TIM TAYLOR GRUNTS.

Oh AND MOST OF ALL

My shitty band ISNT SIGNED.

Jesus christ, comparing the two is like apples and oranges. Besides no one ever said my band was awesome, I certainly haven't said it. On the other hand, CATHERINE STILL SUCKS.

Just cuz my band is shitty doesn't mean theirs isn't shitty.

My band has played with them and they put on such a good show and there music is good and i like it, its better than a lot of the metal bands that are out there i must say, and you have to see these guys live.
